In the role of Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical vision and architectural framework for bespoke software projects. This position requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of software design and implementation, ensuring that development practices meet high standards. The role includes continuous evaluation of code quality, system scalability, and performance to align with organizational goals. Collaboration across various teams and stakeholders is a key aspect, fostering an environment where innovative solutions are developed and delivered efficiently to meet complex business needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Define cross domain SDV embedded platform system reference architectures including HPC and zonal compute, Vehicle OS, mixed criticality partitioning, and software defined hardware.
2. Lead MBSE adoption for SDV platform system design including Sys ML based EE architecture, model driven safety allocation, and digital continuity workflows.
3. Drive SDV systems engineering strategy including Adaptive AUTOSAR R2211 adoption, SOAFEE CCA integration, and Eclipse SDV ecosystem migration.
4. Lead ISO 26262 functional safety strategy organization wide including ASIL allocation governance, SEooC qualification, and DFA frameworks for SDV.
5. Interface with OEM SDV Architects and Platform Engineering for platform architecture development and multi programmer alignment.
6. Champion cybersecurity systems engineering for SDV including TARA governance, UNECE R155 CSMS programmer, and R156 SUMS system architecture.
7. Establish reusable SDV systems engineering IP including platform reference architectures, safety concept templates, and ICD standard libraries.
8. Govern ASPICE Level 3 SYS compliance organization wide for all SDV embedded platform programmers and define Level 3 and Level 4 readiness roadmap.
9. Lead complex RFP technical proposals for high value SDV platform systems engineering engagement opportunities.
10. Build SDV systems engineering competency including AUTOSAR Adaptive curriculum, SOAFEE training, MBSE tools adoption, and expert mentoring.
Professional & Technical Skills:
1 Must Have Mastery of SDV embedded systems engineering EE architecture mixed criticality design safety allocation and Vehicle OS
2 Must Have Expert ISO 26262 ASIL B C D and cybersecurity ISO SAE 21434 governance across multiple SDV embedded platform programmers
3 Must Have Experience defining platform level SDV architectures spanning HPC zone controllers and domain ECUs for multiple OEMs
4 Must Have Deep MBSE expertise with SysML based EE architecture and model driven safety requirements for SDV platforms
5 Must Have Experience governing ASPICE compliant SDV embedded systems engineering organization wide and driving process maturity
6 Must Have Proven engagement with OEM Chief SDV Platform Architects on complex cross domain embedded platform programmers
7 Must Have Track record of delivering systems engineering excellence across high complexity SDV embedded platform programmers
8 Good to Have Experience with SOAFEE architecture WAL HAL design container orchestration and SDV reference implementation
9 Good to Have Knowledge of Eclipse SDV ecosystem architecture Eclipse Kuksa Eclipse Leda Chariott and Agemo system design
10 Good to Have Familiarity with AI safety codesign ISO IEC 42001 AI governance SOTIF ISO 21448 and safety performance indicators
11 Good to Have Exposure to formal SE methods Z notation TLA Plus or Alloy for safety critical SDV platform requirements specification
12 Good to Understand global SDV regulatory landscape EU Cyber Resilience Act UN GTR China GB standards and NHTSA guidance
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 15 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software in SDV Platform Development - cross-domain.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A BE BTech or ME MTech in Electronics Electrical Computer Science Information Technology or Embedded Systems Engineering 15 years fulltime education required is necessary.
