THE WORK:
Develop and maintain strategic IBM Mainframe applications supporting critical business processes in the banking sector while demonstrating a commitment to constant progress and high-quality delivery.
Analyze business requirements and design scalable solutions using COBOL, JCL, CICS, z/OS, and DB2, with a passion for personal development and continuous improvement.
Diagnose and resolve production issues, optimize application performance, and implement enhancements with a proactive approach to skill enhancement.
Collaborate with international project teams on modernization initiatives, integrating established Mainframe technologies with automation and AI-driven solutions while being motivated to embrace new opportunities.
Support knowledge sharing and mentor less experienced developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in development and maintenance of IBM Mainframe applications.
Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, and z/OS.
Practical experience working with DB2 databases, including SQL development, query optimization, and data analysis.
Ability to analyze business requirements and independently design and implement technical solutions.
Experience troubleshooting production issues and optimizing existing applications.
Proactive, self-driven approach with accountability for delivered solutions.
Ability to collaborate effectively within international project teams.
English proficiency at minimum B2 level.
