About the Role

You will be a data & AI leader on our Embark team , responsible for shaping technical strategies, designing data-driven technical solutions, leading technical deliveries and cultivating the potential of our people.

Your focus will be on designing and prototyping differentiated multi-client solutions that can be customised by downstream teams to meet specific customer requirements.

You will contribute to our mission across a number of dimensions.

Offering Development

  • You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, industry domain experts and senior stakeholders to identify, qualify and seize opportunities to develop valuable new products and services.

  • You will create visions and roadmaps for differentiated technology-driven solutions, leveraging both established and emerging technologies.

  • You will validate solution hypotheses with clients and domain experts, establishing their feasibility, viability and desirability.

  • You will bring the voice of data & AI to business cases, commercial strategies, GTM strategies, partnership explorations and vendor pricing discussions.

Solution Incubation

  • You will assume lead technical roles on diverse solution implementation projects, e.g. Data Architect, Technical Strategist, Analytics & AI Delivery Lead, Product Owner.

  • You will design and supervise the development of data-driven technical assets spanning a range of maturities, from low-fidelity wireframes to well-architected scalable MVPs. You will also guide technical research and experimentation, typically on new technologies and pioneering AI techniques.

  • You will co-ordinate the work of technical teams, and provide QA oversight of results.

  • You will become hands-on practitioner when required, applying your deep data & AI skills to experimentation and solution implementation.

  • You will engage with internal processes (e.g., governance, technical review) to ensure high quality outcomes.

People & Team

  • You will mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development and guide their career within the organisation.

  • You will drive and contribute to team development & enablement activities, fostering continuous learning/improvement, strong community and an open collaborative culture.



  • B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc./M.Eng./PhD degree(s) in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

  • 6+ years designing and delivering data-driven technical solutions. Sustained industry, product or commercial application experience is preferred.

  • 2+ years leading technical teams to deliver commercial software or technical products in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment.

  • Proven experience navigating high degrees of uncertainty and ambiguity to achieve successful outcomes

  • Firm grounding in data science techniques and technologies.

  • Deep hands-on experience in the application of data science, ML/DL and other data modelling techniques to real-world problems.

  • Strong programming skills in Python.

  • Strong communication skills, with shown expertise in articulating technical concepts and analysis to non-technical business leaders

  • Shown experience in project and program management and in leading senior collaborators

  • Experience in mentoring, leading or coaching other team members.


  • Experience with agile development on multi-disciplinary agile project team with distributed partners

  • Experience working in a large matrix organization such as Accenture.

  • Development of secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP).

  • Broad expertise in technical architecture and software engineering

  • Deep knowledge of data security and privacy principles and regulations.

  • Experience designing, developing and maintaining AI models, particularly deep learning and generative AI.

  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms, e.g. SAP, ServiceNow

  • Broad experience with all major kinds of data storage technology (e.g., relational, document, knowledge graph)

  • Experience in areas of emerging technology (Cloud, AI, Analytics, IoT, Blockchain, Immersive Realities) and driving new points of view and capabilities

  • Experience running a portfolio of projects

  • A strong executive presence with ability to interact and influence at senior manager and executive level.

  • Consistent track record of contributions to your business (strong financial results).

  • You enjoy and have a track record in public speaking engagements and published work.

  • MBA or Business/Project Management related qualifications
