Accenture has once again been recognised as a top employer; this time in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women ranking. Companies may self-nominate and strict judging criteria are then applied to find UK companies that lead the way in gender equality.
The selection and judging process was managed by Opportunity Now, the gender campaign from Business in Community. Each of the 4,500-word entries was marked anonymously by gender experts and scored according to what the company does internally for its female employees, as well as promoting equality, diversity and inclusion outside the organisation.
Helen Wells, director of Opportunity Now, said: “Any organisation included in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women list has to be commended for its commitment to actively recruiting, retaining and progressing female talent.
The high number of entries and incredibly high standard of work being done towards gender equality and inclusion meant the judging process was extremely competitive, but what stood out as a common attribute for all 2012 Top 50 Employers was a clear focus on integration, innovation and impact.
“Being included in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women list demonstrates a focus on creating an inclusive and diverse workplace that utilises the skills and talent of men and women. It is a clear statement that senior leaders see this as a commercial imperative, not a women’s issue,” she added
Accenture is proud of this achievement and looks forward to building an even greater environment in which our employees can thrive and become true high performing individuals.
