The ServiceNow Technical Architect Delivery Manager role encompasses the responsibilities of the ServiceNow Principal Consultant and in addition is expected to show ownership for the successful delivery of engagements through application of superior technical and commercial experience to advance the objectives of the Professional Services team.
This role exerts a company-wide cross-functional influence and helps provide strategic leadership or vision to the whole organisation. As ServiceNow Technical Architect you will hold Technical responsibility for applications across the delivery of Professional Services ServiceNow engagements. This includes control of technical scope, adherence to scope and implementation in-line with best practice across all engagements.
As a ServiceNow Technical Architect, you will:
Solution and/or Technical Architect experience working across entire ServiceNow ecosystem from HRSD, SecOps, CSM, ITAM and ITBM to name a few
Lead the solution architecture definition for a large ServiceNow implementation programme.
Team with other domain architects and validate the design with stakeholders to ensure the design satisfies the requirements.
Review architecture deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and requirement traceability.
Own and define architectural direction and support to the programme team.
Identify and communicate any cross-area or cross-release issues.
Lead Accenture’s viewpoint on current industry controls (regulatory and compliance) and advise on solution to adhere to controls.
Design master data model, moving data from highly complex federated multi tool legacy solutions to ServiceNow.
Lead on the delivery of the architecture and vision for the customer and ensure best practice and quality assurance.
Design and support ServiceNow Platform Governance and Centre of Excellence and Innovation (CoEI)
Lead on building methodologies and sharing knowledge across the business
Require only broad direction while exercising wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments
Own technical disputes preventing successful service delivery and proactive management of relevant company resources and communications towards successful resolution
Be considered a go-to person for the core ServiceNow products
Demonstrate broad and high-level technical knowledge of product and competitive approaches
Augment the company’s body of knowledge by ownership and validation of best practice collateral generated by self and others in the form of technical papers or presentations to colleagues and contributing to community-based media
Assist the Delivery/Programme Leads by application of relevant commercial knowledge of services and products
Work with the sales team to understand the solution that has been designed and the specific client requirements, to ensure a seamless handover between sales and delivery.
Ensure technical delivery is in line with the Statement of Work (SoW) scope agreed and highlight any potential changes to SoW scope to the Engagement Manager in a timely manner.
Formulate and sequence ServiceNow architecture, roadmap activities in line with business strategy
Contribute to sales efforts, support client proposals and presentations
Shape and deliver proof-of-concepts (PoC) and demo’s where required to gain client buy-in
We are looking for experience/skills in the following:
ServiceNow technical excellence – Maintains expertise and certification across multiple products/capabilities
Maintain general architectural knowledge across all other ServiceNow products
Has extensive experience of ServiceNow releases and Best Practice
Able to articulate value, risk and counsel conversations at senior stakeholder-level (C-level, Enterprise Architect, Program Director)
Lead solution architecture discussions on ServiceNow
Lead solution design and estimation (e.g. identifying required resources, products, effort)
Management and accountability for technical quality and technical resources during delivery
Agile/Scrum, ServiceNow Now Create, and project delivery practices
Extensive and large-scale global digital/service transformation experience
ServiceNow certification in System Administration, at least 5 (five) Certified Implementation Specialist including ITSM
Certified Master Architect (CMA) desirable
Strong Pre-sales experience, ITSM experience would be advantageous (Tool or business process).
Exhibits prior and current technical expertise in web technology and the ability to learn new technology.
Understanding of and experience selling to enterprise IT architecture.
ITIL v3/v4 and TOGAF certifications
Experience in Enterprise Service Management (IT, HR, Middle/Back office etc)
