The Design Talent Network is a critical new member of the design family at Accenture Song. It’s the home for design doers; people who want to be at the forefront of the launch of new human-centered products and services – designing, building, shipping and refining; putting products and services into the hands and screens of users. Accenture Song is comprised of some of the world's largest global agencies, including Fjord, Karmarama and Droga5. We are continuing to develop our excellence in design and are looking for Junior Product Designers to join our Design Talent Network where you will have opportunities to collaborate with our broad network of experts, delivering projects from idea to execution. 

 

As a Junior Product Designer you will define and develop digital interface designs for your project level. You have an eye for detail, love of design systems, a strong appreciation for service and interaction design, technology and can elegantly adapt designs across devices, and work across the entire end-to-end experience.

As a Junior Product Designer, you will: 

 

  • Support in the application of design solutions to end-to-end problems from identifying user needs and adopting business strategy to ideating concepts, defining and crafting a product. 

  • Engage with development teams and clients to understand the feasibility of your proposed design solutions. 

  • Be curious in your approach to understanding a wholistic view of the product strategy and lifecycle. 

  • Get stuck into the interpretation of performance metrics and help form recommendations and iteration decisions. 

  • Build upon your skills and create design artefacts such as sketches, wireframes, user flows, design system documentation and guidelines, data visualisation and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts for digital products. 

  • Communicate your design decisions and encourage critique as part of the design feedback process. 

  • Contribute to open collaboration with cross-discipline teams including other designers, developers and researchers using mixed working methods to bring integrated value to our clients. 

  • Effectively contribute towards sprint goals and design backlog completion. 



Qualifications

Your experience: 

 

  • With 1-2 years of experience working within a delivery team as a product designer.

  • Higher education in a design related degree, course or similar experience in a product design demonstrated through your portfolio. 

  • You’re an ambitious product designer balancing visual and interaction design skills to create high-quality and valuable product to end users. 

  • Some experience in defining, creating and managing responsive design systems.

  • Experience in translating business and customer requirements into compelling experience maps across a variety of touchpoints. 

  • Proficient in common tools of your trade (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Principle, Invision, Adobe CS... ) 

  • Experience of producing low fidelity wireframe journeys to fully interactive prototypes. 

  • Curiosity about technology and understanding its impact on design solutions.  

  • Driving and applying user-centred design processes. 

  • Have some experience working in agile processes and with tools such as Trello, JIRA or Asana and delivery methodologies such as Agile, DevOps etc. 

 

Set yourself apart: 

 

  • Motion design and animation skills are a plus 

  • Tech acumen within responsive frameworks (html, CSS & JS, storybook, stencil js... )  

  • Illustration skills  

  • Public advocate for design and design skills 

Other notes 
 

Applications without a design portfolio demonstrating appropriate experience in Digital Product Design or similar role is required to be considered.
