In order to support our continued growth, we’re hiring passionate consultants to be Technical Project and Programme Managers to own and deliver the most complex and challenging project and programmes within REPL, acting as a leaders and ambassadors for REPL within a constantly changing and challenging environment focused on retail technology. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that enjoys being involved in hands-on project delivery and is enthusiastic aboutactively promotes working with the latest developments in technology.

You will be leading the delivery of complex, multi service custom solutions powered by cloud based microservice architecture and cutting-edge technology. You will be the servant leader for several agile development teams, based across multiple time zones and covering a range of different technologies. You will become a trusted advisor for our clients, shape their strategy and help them get the most out of their investment in technology. This will enable you to grow your career along multiple paths including delivery and architecture leadership roles.

We are looking for truly exceptional candidates who are able to show an adaptability to each scenario and a willingness to embrace different strategies and cultures across our clients and at REPL. We expect our candidates to show experience in a Consulting and Retail environment in the following areas: software development; agile project management; solution architecture; system integration. You don’t need to be an expert in all of them, but strong agile delivery experience and technical aptitude are a must for this role.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working as part of delivery teams across our client projects
  • Lead with agility a variety of complex technology implementation projects and programmes within digitally focussed portfolios
  • Define, mobilize and execute across different methodologies
  • Provide delivery and technical assurance and set the standard across all areas of delivery
  • Manage multiple technical and software development teams as well as 3rd party vendors
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easy to digest presentations for business and other non-technical stakeholders
  • Drive change within a diverse client portfolio
  • Build long client relationships based on being a trusted as delivery, business and / or technical advisor
  • Champion people development across your team and within the organsiation, and look to grow your own leadership skills
  • Provide support and insight into the sales process and be able to build proposals for new clients.Support / Lead detailed design activities ensuring solutions are fit for purpose


What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrable experience working in a challenging consultancy environment with strong skills and experiences across a variety of areas such as software development, business analysis, project management, system integration and / or solution architecture
  • Demonstrable experience working in technically complex delivery environment with strong experience of modern delivery management methodologies (Agile, SAFe, DevOps)
  • Strong conceptual understanding of how software is developed and how modern technology works (AWS, Azure, GCP, identity management platforms, middleware (Mulesoft, Tibco etc), databases, networking, security and / or test automation etc) 
  • Strong business and systems analysis skills, troubleshooting skills and experience with numerous environments and architectures.
  • Ideally a strong background in Retail (POS, payments, e-commerce, loyalty etc)
  • Ability to manage large, often remote teams across multiple sites and create a sense of teamwork by pulling together the different vendors and colleagues who may be unfamiliar with each other and from and dissimilar cultures.
  • Strong attention to detail demonstrated through prior experience at the strategic and tactical / delivery levels
  • Self-motivated and pro-active but a good team member who values being part of the wider REPL management cadre.
  • Highly organised and able to cope with multiple responsibilities
  • The ability to empathise and have honest professional interactions with a diverse stakeholder group in order to build long-lasting trusted advisory relationships including executives, managers, and subject matter experts

You will also have some experience of, or a desire to learn about the following:

  • Experience with a top 10 Consulting/Systems Integration firm
  • Experience across the core retail functional areas; supply chain, store & head office operations, and workforce management.
  • From a design, development or test background

Practical experience of leading large scale system integration in a retail environment involving the following:

  • Strategy
  • Target Operating Model Definition
  • Governance setup
  • Program Management
  • Software Project Management
  • Solution & Technical Architecture
  • Infrastructure Delivery
  • Central system and site-based Deployment
