This role will work within the Spark44 team, serving a global automotive client (Jaguar Land Rover Transforms Global Marketing Communications Model | Accenture).  The Spark44 team creates brand communications, delivering award-winning creative and marketing effectiveness across end-to-end customer communications.

The Project Director will be responsible for the delivery of JLR Vehicle Configurators, in line with Reveals, globally.  The configurator plays a critical role in the customer journey and therefore ensuring readiness for Reveal is essential. The role has the responsibility for ensuring overall delivery for programmes managed within the team in accordance with the agency’s goals, balancing the details with the big picture. The Project Director must be able to report on project status for the channel they represent. The role is integral to ensuring best practice project management is adhered to, as well as refining current process and creating new ones. The Project Director is expected to work efficiently, independently and be able to delegate appropriately. The role has the responsibility to collaborate with wider teams to ensure successful project outcomes and overcoming any challenges. The Project Director will be available to advise on anything project related, and will be a first point of escalation for the Configurator PM’s.


  • Accountable for delivering programmes of work for all Configurator markets
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Technology Director and Team Leads to establish deliverable plans and allocate resource effectively
  • Ensure the client partner understands agreed workflows and manage expectations accordingly
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to the Project Managers
  • Be the first point of escalation for assessing project inputs or delays
  • Adjust timing plans adapting to both process growth and project specifics (in-flight and templated)
  • Understand the status of all projects going through the Configurator team, communicating effectively with both locations
  • Risk assessment of projects and understanding the impact of client decisions
  • Collate work effort for any requested projects
  • Prioritise tasks for the Configurator team (both offshore and UK based teams) based on overall project delivery
  • Ensure all relevant internal resources and meetings have been organised in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other teams on continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the correct internal stakeholders are advised at the appropriate point
  • Able to have difficult conversations both internally and externally to protect deliverables
  • Provide problem solving and trouble-shooting skills to ensure risks are managed and prevented
  • Work closely with the Operations Director on impact analysis and investigation of client requests
  • Be able to brief the Configurator Project Managers and Team Leads clearly on any changes to deliverables and impact analysis
  • Present a positive approach to change management
  • Ensure the team provide informative and clear handovers to the other Project Managers
  • Coordinate wider teams to resolve any challenges that arise
  • Be adaptable -  equally comfortable with the planning and delivery of long term projects (12m+) as with fast turnaround actions necessary for legal compliance

Degree educated in a relevant transferable function (desirable but not required)


Extensive digital experience within an agency involved in global digital content

Configurator knowledge/experience advantageous but not essential

Experience managing and working to immovable deadlines

Problem solving and risk evaluation and management

Pro-active development and implementation of best practice processes

Able to demonstrate depth of knowledge in project management tools

Demonstrate financial understanding

Formal project management methodology experience e.g. Agile, Prince2

Luxury/automotive advertising experience is a plus but not required

Professional and mature conduct



Able to articulate and present ideas with conviction

Must have confidence to promote best practice of Project Management
