Role: Network Consulting Manager – NFV/SDN

Travel: Up to 100%

Salary: £68,000 - £85,000

Communications, Media and Technology (CMT)

In this role, you’ll be part of the Communications, Media & Technology group where you’ll work with companies that are creating the products of tomorrow. Accenture works with 95% of the world's 20 largest Communications companies, 80% of the Fortune 500's Electronics and High-Tech companies, 67% of the world's 50 largest Media companies, and all 6 of the major Hollywood studios. You'll use your industry-specific expertise to help your clients seize the opportunities made possible by the convergence of communications, computing and content.

 

You will be part of the Network Practice, which helps our clients innovate and transform their businesses around how they plan, build, launch and operate network and service platforms in order to streamline operations, minimise time to market, and reduce costs.

 

You will work alongside clients understanding their current Network systems and delivery lifecycle to drive improvements and efficiency to their processes and systems. Either by creating a new platform or modifying the deployment processes, you will be the intersection between the business and the network teams to make the transformation of the network a success.

 

The introduction of new technologies is changing the way networks are being deployed and maintained. You will have the opportunity to help clients understand these changes and propose new systems, process and ways of working to make networks more efficient.


 

Key requirements for this role:

  • Relevant, hands-on experience in the CSP industry either in service provider, network vendor or consulting/system integration companies
  • Experience working on telco strategy, operating model / organizational re-design and/or operational improvement projects.
  • Extensive Knowledge of Network Virtualization technologies (NFV, SDN), international communities’ (TMForum, ETSI, MEF, …), vendor portfolio in the area of virtualization
  • Extensive Knowledge of Fixed/Mobile Networks and Enterprise Architecture: Core Networks (IMS, EPC, Edge,…) , Transport Networks (SDH, PDH, MPLS, IP,..)
  • Knowledgeable on industry trends and key telco processes such as: telco market trends, network strategy, design & deployment, network operations, service fulfillment, service assurance, field force operations, service quality / SLA management, customer experience.
  • Knowledgeable of OSS solutions for network deployment, service delivery and assurance (in particular: network fault and performance management; network and service troubleshooting; trouble ticketing, SLAM) and field force management.
  • Knowledgeable on service and network architectures/technologies (e.g. FTTx; xDSL; MSAN; Home-Business-Enterprise Customer Premises Network; IPTV; WiFi; Small Cells; VoIP; etc..).
