Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 dependant on skills and experience plus excellent benefits

What will the Role Involve
The Corporate Development & Transaction Services team focuses on the shaping of the most complex deals across the full spectrum of Accenture’s offerings as well as the creation of new business such as joint ventures and alliances. Operating at the forefront of business development for Accenture the team plays a critical role in ensuring the viability and profitability of engagements. The team in the UK is approximately 35 strong and has a very high profile across the business.

The successful candidate will be involved in:
Deal Shaping
Applying independent thinking, commercial and financial rigor to develop viable client business cases and value propositions working in conjunction with sales, solutions architects and commercial/legal teams. 
Financial Support
Working closely with business development teams during negotiations ensuring ongoing analysis of the deal structure and the financial and operational risk of the business case to both Accenture and the client. Providing information and insight into managing profitability, cash and capital as well as US GAAP compliance and controls risk.
Operational Support
Provide analytical support to senior team members. Ensure the business case is deliverable and profitable in terms of pricing and contract between the parties

What skills & experience are we looking for?


Degree educated and Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) - qualified with full membership
Skilled in Corporate Finance strategies, tools and techniques:
  • Business Modelling
  • Investment appraisal
  • Risk management
  • Cost baselining and due diligence
  • Shareholder Value and EVA diagnostic
  • Understanding of Financing alternatives, including equity and debt financing techniques
  • Entity valuation techniques
  • Option pricing
Key Technical Accounting Skills:
  • Accounting for business combinations (e.g. acquisitions, affiliates)
  • Accounting for equity stakes
  • Asset purchase/ lease accounting, including capitalisation issues
  • Principal vs. agent
  • Revenue recognition
Key Competencies and Personal Attributes:
  • Good people management skills - in all directions, to all levels including senior Accenture management
  • Capable of operating within multiple discipline deal teams and within CDTS's matrix model across EALA
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good negotiation skills, which work with other skill sets to foster team working.  Capable of interacting effectively with our Leadership
  • Able to deal appropriately with confrontation and demonstrates the strength of personality to carry difficult situations to a successful conclusion
  • Strong communication skills striking appropriate balance between written and oral and clearly understanding the needs of the target audience.  Brought to bear in the preparation and finalization of ad hoc financial presentations, business cases (internal and external), CDTS memorandums, and Client Capital Requests
  • Ability to articulate financial accounting and commercials to non-financial executives
