The Scrum Master will provide leadership, mentoring and support to their scrum teams. They will work closely with Product Owners and Delivery Leads to deliver successful increments and drive improvements in the scrum team. They will actively contribute to a Community of Practice to identify and drive improvements in Agile deliver methods across the organisation.
What responsibilities will you have?
• Facilitating all Scrum ceremonies:
o sprint planning
o daily stand-ups
o sprint reviews / show and tells
o sprint retrospective sprint reviews
• Alignment of Sprint deliverables to a managed and prioritised backlog
• Work with non-scrum team members to remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions
• Coach and mentor a high performing scrum team
• Establish effective, transparent communication with stakeholders to build trust
• Monitor burn down progress and report progress and issues to management
• Actively embrace continuous improvement ensuring the Agile process is continually evolving and contributing to the Community of Practice
• Act as an ambassador for our Agile capability, both internally and externally
What skills & experience are we looking for?
• Broad experience of IT delivery and able to draw on those experiences to coach a successful scrum team
• Experience of working with multiple scrum teams, possibly across distributed locations
• Experience of working within both waterfall and agile environments
• Professional Scrum Master Certification preferred.
