Introduction:

Government Relations at Accenture is about collaborating across the company and with external partners to help advance the company's business plans. Sitting within the global Legal practice and organised regionally, the European GR team consists of professionals based across several capitals, including London where this role will be based

Job Description:

  • The UK Government Relations Manager will engage with the Westminster and Whitehall community to advance the delivery of Accenture’s business.
  • You will work across the company – especially with our Health & Public Service and Financial Services teams – implementing thoughtful and proactive GR programmes to identify opportunities and to position Accenture and our leaders effectively.
  • Collaboration will be an essential part of your work – externally to explore mutually beneficial partnerships and internally to maximise impact and ensure an aligned approach.
  • You will identify areas of emerging policy interest, help shape relevant points of view and then deliver related advocacy programmes.
  • At all times you will ensure that business leaders are kept up to date on key political/policy developments impacting Accenture, our clients and our offerings.
  • And as part of the wider European Government Relations team you will be expected to volunteer your skills and expertise to support colleagues in other geographies too.

Who would this role suit?

  • You are passionate about politics, collaborative to the core and hungry to develop.
  • With between five and ten years’ experience, you have a very strong understanding of the UK political system and how government operates.
  • Proactive, organised and able to see things through to completion on time and within budget, you are comfortable working independently but always know when to seek advice and help.
  • Your strong networking skills are underpinned by your excellent communication skills, including the ability to summarise complex information effectively and communicate it crisply.
  • You have an interest in Accenture’s business areas and the policy issues with which they intersect.

What’s in it for you?

The sheer variety of work we do, the clients we support, the issues with which we engage and the partnerships we build, means that working in GR at Accenture is a great experience.

On top of this, we have an extensive benefits package which includes 30 days’ vacation per year, gym subsidies, private medical insurance and 3 extra days leave per year for charitable work of your choice!
