The UKI Talent and Organisation Strategy team is looking to grow by adding a high-performing strategy manager to this unique practice.

 

Key features of the role

 

Talent and Organisation (T&O) Strategy is part of Accenture’s Strategy division operating at the intersection of business, technology, and operational strategy.

 

As a T&O strategist, you will be supporting senior leadership and C-level executives of our UKI and global clients in planning, designing and executing strategies which will deliver business and commercial benefits, helping them shape the future of their organisations by improving their talent, organisational and digital capabilities.

You will work collaboratively on strategy projects, providing specialist knowledge and skills in organisational development, talent management and HR transformation.

 

Within T&O Strategy, Organisation Strategy uses proven tools and methods, as well as a suite of innovative offerings backed by global thought leadership, to help clients transform their operating model and culture.

As a strategy manager, you will be challenged by:

  • Architecting business strategies with recommendations for design and implementation
  • Developing operating models and associated organisational capabilities to design and deliver value
  • Working across multiple geographic locations, workforces and senior stakeholder groups
  • Engaging with the wider Accenture community to foster collaboration, supporting the growth and development of the Strategy practice
  • Working with our global network of high calibre Organisation Strategy colleagues to strengthen client propositions and recommendations
  • Leading our next generation thought leadership and Organisation Strategy assets through application of functional and industry knowledge
  • Being at the cutting edge of Technology trends and Digital disruptors that impact Organisation Strategy

What specific skills are required?

 

We are looking for candidates who have worked as:

  • Organisation Strategy professionals with experience of roles shaping and designing Human Capital Strategy
  • Individuals who have architected an organisation design/cultural change programme, or a major work stream as part of an organisation design/cultural change programme, preferably within a consulting environment
  • Commercial professionals with experience of large scale organisation design programmes i.e. as part of merger or acquisition or an internal transformation.     

Deep skills in at least one of the following areas within a specific industry are required:

  • Designing a comprehensive Human Capital Strategy across all five areas (Talent, Leadership, Culture, Organisation and Operating Model and Talent Development) to enable achievement of business strategy
  • Designing and architecting operating models
  • Designing and establishing and organisational structure aligned with business goals and required capabilities
  • Designing a change strategy, developing change journeys and assessing organisational readiness for reorganisation and cultural change

 

What capabilities are we looking for?

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, high personal standards, a high degree of creativity and innovation, ability to develop intellectual capital and professional ethics. You must be a team player and have strong communication and persuasion skills. You must have the spirit, ability and desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment, necessitating all team members to collaborate, multi-task and work “hands on”.

 

Your base location will be London, although most of our consultants work on client engagements within the UK and Ireland. Therefore, you must be willing to work away from home Monday to Friday as required.

 

The candidate will ideally have:

  • Prior external consulting experience, preferably with senior leadership exposure, within a project based environment
  • Breadth of Organisation and Culture Strategy knowledge with deep skills in at least one area and deep knowledge of at least one industry
  • Strong leadership skills - setting direction, team leadership, proven training and coaching abilities
  • Ability to develop relationships at a senior level through an appreciation of C-suite issues
  • Ability to lead a workstream, develop cohesive conclusions, identify opportunities to add value and present findings to C-level clients
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and develop structured yet innovative and strategic solutions with a customer/client focus
  • Commercial acumen with ability to tailor solutions to enhance effectiveness and to identify client development opportunities
  • Ability to lead Accenture’s thought leadership through application of research on industry developments, market trends analysis and value based vision
  • Strong community focus with a desire to support the development of the Strategy community in UKI through activities such as recruitment, training and asset development
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent degree results or equivalent
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPD) - not mandatory
