Join Accenture Security Practice and you will become part of the one of the fastest growing areas of the business with significant growth plans through additional recruitment and acquisitions. The Application Security Consultant provides advisory and technical support to help our clients improve their Information Security posture to respond to the rapidly evolving Cyber Security threats.  You will provide information security subject matter expertise and utilize your business acumen to work collaboratively with our clients to advise, design, build and implement pragmatic security solutions.


The Application Security offering helps client accelerate release cycles with resilient applications. We develop, run and maintain applications securely, creating an end-to-end architecture that reduces our clients’ security exposure and protects not just their applications, but also the valuable data they contain.

What responsibilities will you have?

  • Working with truly global organisations and the related complexity of their cyber security requirements by   delivering innovative world-leading solutions at scale;  
  • Working in a multi-disciplined team of Strategy, Digital and Technology professionals to bring the best of Accenture to our clients;
  • Working with and often managing a multi-shore delivery team to provide cost-effective consulting services;
  • Collaborating with peers worldwide to develop Accenture’s knowledge assets to deliver the best solution for each client;
  • Designing pragmatic but effective cyber security defences
  • Integrating security tools, standards and processes into the product life cycle;
  • Improving and supporting application security tool deployments;
  • Improving and maintaining secure development standards;
  • Supporting Vendor Security activities to ensure 3rd‐party software and development meets clients security standards;
  • Providing security requirements for test‐driven design.
  • Producing metrics reporting the state of application security programs and performance of development teams against requirements.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Previous full-time work experience in information security management and/or related functions (penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, intrusion detection etc.);
  • A background in technical IT roles such as IT architecture, development or operations, with a clear and abiding interest in information security;
  • The applicant must demonstrate competence in one of the following sub-domains (Data security, API security, Enterprise application security and Secure application security).
  • Endpoint threat detection & data loss prevention;
  • Experience in security engineering and encryption;
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;
  • All candidates must be willing to offer full mobility (i.e. prepared to work away from home Monday to Friday as required);

What academic qualifications do you need?

  •  Security Certifications and understanding of current industry best practices are highly desirable.
