Job Summary
You will help clients translate business and user needs into digitally enabled commerce solutions. The role requires a consultative techno-functional Business Analyst who can work independently in client-facing engagements, connect business objectives with platform capabilities, and enable delivery teams through clear requirements, backlog readiness and stakeholder alignment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Independently lead requirements elicitation for assigned eCommerce workstreams by facilitating client workshops, interviews and playback sessions.
- Analyze as-is processes and design to-be business, solution and system requirements in partnership with client stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Create and maintain epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, business rules, data needs and decision logs.
- Own backlog readiness for upcoming sprints by planning refinement, identifying dependencies and clarifying functional and technical questions.
- Act as a bridge between client Product Owner, business SMEs, UX/design, architects, developers, QA and project/program stakeholders.
- Identify solution options and recommend fit-for-purpose approaches by balancing business value, user experience, feasibility and delivery complexity.
- Ensure requirements and designs remain aligned throughout change, implementation, testing and release cycles.
- Support UAT planning, test scenario review, defect triage and business readiness activities.
- Contribute to product roadmap inputs, release scope definition and improvement ideas based on client priorities and market/platform awareness.
- Mentor junior team members on BA ways of working, quality of user stories and stakeholder communication.
- Expected to operate with limited supervision in a client-facing consultative BA role.
- Own medium-complexity functional areas or workstreams and escalate risks with mitigation options.
- Maintain clear communication rhythms with client stakeholders and internal teams.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, outcome orientation and ownership for BA deliverables.
- Provide constructive challenge to requirements prioritization and help shape backlog value.
- Strong understanding of digital commerce capabilities including product discovery, product detail pages, cart, checkout, order capture, promotions, payment, inventory visibility and order status.
- Ability to map business journeys and identify functional gaps across B2B/B2C commerce, marketplace, omnichannel and customer-service-enabled commerce experiences.
- Working knowledge of commerce platform concepts such as catalog, product information, pricing display, promotions, campaigns, search, merchandising, content, customer accounts and integrations.
- Ability to collaborate with product owners, experience designers, architects and engineering teams to convert experience and business objectives into implementation-ready backlog items.
- Understanding of APIs, events, integrations, data flows and non-functional requirements relevant to commerce platforms.
- Ability to independently own a commerce feature area such as product discovery, checkout, promotions, account management, order management, or content/merchandising.

- Scrum/Agile delivery experience across discovery, inception, construction, UAT and release phases.
- eCommerce domain knowledge across browse, search, PDP, cart, checkout, payments, promotions, order capture and order status.
- Techno-functional understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, analytics tagging, non-functional requirements and platform constraints.
- Ability to work with product owners, UX, architecture, engineering, QA, release and client business stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for client presentations, demos, decisions and status reporting.
- Draw.io, Miro, Visio, Lucidchart or similar modelling/diagramming tools.
- CPQ domain knowledge including product configuration, quote creation, approvals, guided selling and quote-to-cash touchpoints.
- Pricing domain knowledge including price books, price lists, promotions, discounts, taxation, regional pricing and price engine integrations.
- Commerce platforms such as SAP Commerce/Hybris, commercetools, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce/Magento or similar.
- Search, merchandising, CMS, CDP, web analytics, payments, OMS or customer service platform exposure.
- PSPO I, PSPO II, CBAP, Agile BA, Scrum Master or relevant commerce platform certifications.
- Exposure to headless commerce, composable commerce, microservices, event-driven integrations or cloud-native delivery.
- Experience with automation pipelines, version control, deployment strategies or DevOps collaboration
