SAP Authorization Lead Consultant

Join Accenture’s SAP Security team and play a key role in shaping enterprise-grade SAP authorization architectures across global transformation programs. As organizations accelerate digital transformation and S/4HANA adoption, well-designed authorization concepts, scalable role models, and robust access governance have become critical to ensuring secure and compliant SAP landscapes.
At Accenture, we help clients design, standardize, and govern SAP authorization models that balance business enablement with security and compliance requirements. We focus on preventive access control by design, ensuring that authorization strategies are auditable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise and regulatory expectations.
We are seeking SAP Authorization professionals who are passionate about authorization architecture, role model design, and access governance, and who want to lead authorization-focused initiatives within complex SAP environments.
THE WORK:
Architecting SAP platform authorization strategies across SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based landscapes.
Defining and governing preventive authorization controls as part of SAP security architecture, ensuring that access design reduces security risks by design.
Driving SAP authorization-focused security assessments, remediation roadmaps, and audit readiness activities (e.g. SOX, GDPR, ITGC).
Designing authorization models and governance mechanisms that support traceability, accountability, and auditability of access decisions.
Defining authorization standards, role design principles, and governance frameworks to ensure consistent and scalable access control across SAP programs.
Advising clients on secure SAP architecture, system conversions, and transformation programs.
Facilitating client workshops, managing stakeholder expectations, and owning authorization-focused security delivery streams.
Mentoring junior SAP security team members and contributing to authorization capability development.
Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of remote work, onsite client engagements, or working from the Accenture office, depending on specific project circumstances.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
5+ years of experience in SAP Security and enterprise security architecture.
Deep expertise in SAP authorization architecture, including role model design, authorization governance, and preventive access controls aligned with compliance and audit requirements.
Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture and secure landscape design.
Experience leading SAP security programs, audits, and compliance initiatives.
Proven ability to lead client engagements and security transformation initiatives.
Strong communication and leadership skills.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Knowledge of SAP authorization models across ECC, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, HANA DB, and integrated SAP SaaS solutions, including hybrid and cross-system authorization architectures.
Experience with SAP Fiori authorization concepts, including catalogs, spaces, pages, and their alignment with backend role models.
Experience driving innovation initiatives, including automation and AI-supported authorization and access governance use cases across SAP landscapes.
Experience with authorization analytics, access reviews, and role usage analysis to support authorization governance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with SAP authorization accelerators and tooling (e.g. Xiting XAMS), applied to role design optimization, role quality analysis, usage analysis, and authorization redesign initiatives.
