Accenture’s M&A and Private Equity team sits at the heart of strategic value creation across the deal lifecycle. We support both Private Equity (PE) and Corporate clients, partnering on initiatives from target screening and due diligence to integration, separation, and portfolio value enhancement.
This team works in close collaboration with Global Network Industry/Functional teams, Client Account Teams, and Global M&A/PE Leadership across geographies — offering unmatched opportunities to lead and shape high-impact consulting engagements.
What You’ll Do – Key Responsibilities
Common for Both Levels
- Deliver strategic engagements across the full M&A lifecycle:
- Pre-Deal: Technology/Commercial/operational/ due diligence
- Deal Execution: Day 1 Planning, value creation planning, target operating model evaluation.
- Post-Deal: Integration/separation planning and execution, operating model alignment, cost/value capture realization, portfolio transformation initiatives, and functional scaling and readiness of entities across areas like supply chain, finance, HR, and IT
- Functional Experience (Must Have): in-depth and hands-on experience from process, people and technology perspective on any of these functions – Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Procurement.
- Work across both Functional M&A (such as operating model shifts, supply chain optimization, commercial acceleration, workforce and org redesign, harmonization of legal and other operational processes, etc.) and Tech M&A (IT/cyber due diligence, platform assessment, tech separation/integration) depending on client need
- Collaborate with account teams and global leadership to shape opportunities and deliver client orals and proposals
- Develop and contribute to new IP, accelerators, POVs, and brown bag sessions to drive practice development
Role Expectations
- Project Delivery: Lead day-to-day execution and governance of large, complex M&A/PE programs
- IT M&A: Must have hands-on experience in both pre-deal and post-deal phases including Tech Due Diligence, IT Integration/Separation
- Functional M&A: Ideally experienced in both pre- and post-deal stages; post-deal exposure is mandatory
- Business Development: Build relationships with global stakeholders, contribute to pipeline origination and proposal ownership
- Team Building: Mentor consultants, lead knowledge-sharing, and actively participate in growing the M&A/PE consulting practice
Industry Focus (Preferred)
- Experience working with clients in one or more of the following sectors is preferred:
- CMT, Financial Services, Resources, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Consumer Goods & Services, Retail

Experience Required:
- Senior Manager: 10+ years post-MBA
- Manager: 6+ years post-MBA
Education: Full-time MBA from Tier 1 institute - Consulting Experience: Experienced in consulting setup and ways of working (must have previous experience in any renowned or boutique consulting firm)
- ERP Experience (not mandatory): Good to have hands-on experience in functional ERP implementation projects for e.g. good functional understanding of SAP FICO, MM modules
Must-Have Skills
- M&A hands-on experience in a consulting setup. Delivering not just PMO work but leading functional workstreams such as Finance, IT, Supply Chain or Procurement
- Post Deal experience is mandatory that will include but not limited to Day 1 readiness (Functional – Finance, HR, IT, Supply chain, procurement) for an integration or carveout projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with issue-based thinking
- Experience in direct client interactions, including presenting findings and driving stakeholder discussions.
- Experience with value creation strategies, growth and cost levers, and digital or tech transformation in deals
- Business acumen and knowledge of M&A trends, investment models, and PE-backed transformation mandates
