Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behaviors, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous engagement with complex software environments to maintain system reliability and support business continuity through effective troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the effective support and delivery of system tools (SCCM, Intune) to support the transition to Windows 10/11
Primarily ownership of the EUC ticket queue, providing 3rd line technical support for IT incidents and problems. Working alongside vendors as appropriate to investigate solutions. Tickets are to be owned until successful resolution. May include escalation management to third party vendors, including Microsoft Premier Support.
Patch Management and Windows 10/11 Servicing.
Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication, customer handling and inter-personal skills
Ability to work with customers in an advisory capacity around Modern Workplace, helping them to create their workplace strategy, with activities/tasks such as creating roadmaps and business cases.
Ability to apply advanced or expert knowledge in relevant technology solutions and strong business operational acumen in the context of clients business.
Ability to effectively team with peers in a large, matrixed organization, including experience with onshore, near-shore and off-shore delivery teams.
Engagement with Project team for SOP, RACI, SRT, SOP type document creation and KT process.
Extensive experience in Design & implementation of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)/SCCM environment including Co-Management, CMG
Extensive experience in designing and execute the technical implementation of Windows 10 Autopilot Modern Management solution using Intune, Azure AD, Office365 based on client requirements and design specifications.
Technical Experience:
Strong understanding in BYOD and COD, WCD (Configuration Designer), Autopilot, Auto-Enrolment, Auto-Enroll with GPO via AAD or ADFS, Autopilot Hybrid, Dual management with Intune and SCCM
Device Compliance - Rules and policies to remediate devices to comply per organizations security requirements with comply evaluation.
Configuration Profile - Config/Resource profiles for EAS mail along with Device restrictions, Devices features, Custom scripts.
Upload, Deploy and Configure LOB applications, OEM store Application (Windows,), (Microsoft, Apple and Google).
Deploy VPP apps and setting up APNS.
Deploy LOB, OEM Store applications to endpoints.
Deploy LOB/Store applications to group of users (AAD user groups).
Monitor application deployment status.
LOB Application Wrapping for iOS and Android managed applications.
Wrap the LOB apps using iOS SDK, Android SDK.
Create, Maintain, Update, Deploy and Delete policies.
Configuration policies like Device restrictions, Wi-Fi profile, domain join profile etc. Compliance Policies
iOS, Android and Windows, Device Life Cycle.
Enrollment process of endpoints (iOS, Windows 10/11 and Android). Retire and Wipe Devices.
Create, Maintain, Update, Deploy and Delete CA policies.
CA for Windows, Android, iOS, MacOS.
Extensive experience in Design & implementation of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)/SCCM environment including Co-Management, CMG

Production of High-level/Low Level Design documentations.
Proficient in customizing and deploying Windows 10.
Knowledge on Group Policy Objects, Active Directory security and compliancy configurations and migrating to Intune CSP ADMX templates.
Experience in setting up Intune based Software Distribution, Patch Management, Windows as Service, Driver Management processes.
Configure Device Compliance, Conditional access and endpoint protection policies, Windows Defender, Bit locker, Windows Hello for Business etc.
Experience in Microsoft Azure AD, AzureAD AppProxy.
In depth understanding with deployment technologies to include, but not limited to AD DS, AD FS, AAD Connect, Identity & Access Management, MFA, RMS, AIP
Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Management (MAM) protection and app restrictions on for Outlook and Office mobile apps on various mobile devices.
Strong understanding in App Deployment - Application deployment across different platforms with file types - APK, IPA, APPX, APPXBUNDLE, MSI, EXE, WIN32, PKG and Intune mac.
Strong understanding in Conditional Access and DLP policies for organization or tenant wide security. Exchange connector for Hosted, In-Cloud and On-Prem exchange.
Deploying software updates to the client machines and channelizing updates.
Configuring and deploying VPN profile, Email profile and Wi-Fi profile.
Strong understanding of Windows Active Directory / Certificate Management / Windows Server Management
Integration with third party tools such as Jamf, TeamViewer lookout etc. for enhance level of security and compliance reporting.
Understanding of Azure VDI Infrastructure in collaboration VMware cloud for horizon or WVD.
Configuring NDES and SCEP based deployments in collaboration with Intune.
Deploying software and applications to enrolled devices.
Configuring app and location based conditional access policies.
Deployment of EMS across medium large enterprises or global deployments
Professional Attributes-
Ability to work independently and make decisions with little direct supervision.
Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills are needed in order to work successfully with customers in high stress and or ambiguous situations.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor s Degree / Diploma in Engineering / Computer Science
Experience in providing voice based Technical Support is desirable.
Experience of working with global customers is an asset.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Intune.
