What would you do? CF Operations Controllership refers to the management and oversight of an organizations financial reporting and accounting functions. This includes ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, budgeting, and financial analysis. The goal is to provide reliable financial information to support decision-making and maintain financial integrity. The process of generating source data and performing required analysis to support direct periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) tax filings, based on the client s interpretation of statutory and tax requirements. Examples include Corporate tax, Federal tax, etc.
What are we looking for? •Skills: • Knowledge of Accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP) • Hands on experience in Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and International Tax • Demonstrated leadership with ability to coach and motivate team • Strong oral and written communication • Knowledge of MS Office, accounting & tax software alongwith AI capabilities • The ability to interpret and understand financial and business information and make the associated recommendations for action • First class numerical and technical analysis skills • Positive attitude and flexible • Sense of responsibility, initiative and high-quality work standard • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise • Transformative mindset that embraces continuous change Qualifications and Experience: • Qualified Chartered Accountant, with around 7 years post qualification experience in Tax • Detailed knowledge of tax legislation and current tax Practices. Knowledge of ASG region would be preferred • Working experience in Big4 or equivalent is preferable • SAP experience an advantage but not essential.
Roles and Responsibilities: • Responsibilities: • Plan & develop Income Tax Compliance calendar and co-ordinate timing and Inputs with various teams. • Overseeing the compilation of annual tax computation information for submission to the Tax Advisors. • Developing the relationship with both Country Controller and Global Tax Group. • Managing & coaching the junior team members and ensuring resourcing is effectively deployed to meet objectives • Identifying and compute the adjustments according to the applicable tax regulation • Manage the relationship with Tax Advisors answering queries & providing data as required. • Responsible for overseeing the research and presentation of Tax positions • Responsibility for overseeing the preparation of the year-end tax packages for submission to the Global Tax Group as well as answering queries and providing data as required. • Responsible for overseeing the preparation of the Tax forecast and ETR on a quarterly basis. • Detailed review of monthly tax GL reconciliations & provide support in preclose and post close activity. • Monitor Tax developments that may have an impact on the specific region and the legal entities therein. • Ensure integrity & completeness of financial records & internal financial controls from a tax perspective • Supporting the continuous improvement of processes, controls, and data quality, including effective use of technology and participate in projects as required. • Assist in handling assessment & litigation and co-ordinate with relevant stakeholders for responding to tax notices and assist in preparing and track MIS related to tax notices. • Handle escalated queries and build strong team knowledge
