The work:
We are looking for an Automation Engineering Co-op to join our team for 4 months from May- August.
As part of the Automation Team, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills. We hire people with strong technical and business abilities and help them to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to support the entire project lifecycle.

Successful candidates can look forward to:

Working directly with clients to gather requirements, participating in the design process, and supporting the development, testing and implementation phases of our projects

Rolling up your sleeves and coming up with good ideas on how to improve business processes

Joining your teammates to dive into consulting projects, deliver new technologies and unique business solutions to world class clients

Working with Industry X professionals on projects that support our clients design, engineering, manufacturing, technology, consulting and operations service areas
The work location requires working onsite with our clients and partners or in our offices and delivery centers to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
Please note that with all of our roles, you should expect some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities.
Qualifications

Currently enrolled in your 3rd/4th year of your Bachelors Degree Program in Computer Science or Engineering (required)

Innovative, with some experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS systems (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, AVEVA, Ignition) and control system architecture

Possess basic understanding of plant processes in both Process and Discrete Manufacturing Industries to assist with the conceptual design of process control strategies for process modifications and plant expansions.

Interest or experience in controls engineering within a manufacturing environment

Interest or experience in automation system design, software integration, development, commissioning, validation, and start-up

Some experience working with stakeholder management

Some experience using Microsoft tools, including C# and SQL Server

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Positive attitude with excellent teamwork and multi-tasking skills

English is required for this position as this role will be aligned to multi-national teams where English is the common language across our North America Market. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking multi-national teams, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,

employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
