You Are:
We are seeking a new talent to join our team, where you will have the opportunity to collaborate on the project. An EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) skill support team to manage and troubleshoot the day-to-day operations of EDI integrations, including configuring tools, troubleshooting failures, and maintaining documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Provide support for day-to-day EDI operations, including troubleshooting data translation, transmission failures, and integration errors to minimize business disruption.
- Partner Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams and external trading partners to onboard new partners and maintain existing integrations.
- System Maintenance and Configuration:
- Configure and manage EDI tools and translators (e.g., IBM Sterling, Boomi) and participate in system upgrades and testing.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, partner specifications, mapping guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Data Mapping and Testing:
- Assist in setting up and configuring EDI connections, including mapping and testing EDI documents to ensure accuracy.
- Monitoring:
- Monitor EDI transactions to ensure the timely and accurate processing of data.
- This role requires being in the local office 2-3 days per week.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Comp Science or related field.
- Strong knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with EDI tools and translators (e.g., IBM Sterling, Boomi, Gentran).
- Familiarity with EDI transfer protocols like AS2, FTP, SFTP, and HTTP/s.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to managing daily support tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders, and to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement
Preferred qualifications:
- A good understanding of supply chain processes (e.g., order management)
- Experience with other EDI tools or platforms beyond those listed (e.g., webMethods, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex EDI issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Familiarity with industry-specific EDI requirements or standards.
