You Are:
A webMethods Support consultant and the job involves maintaining and troubleshooting the webMethods platform, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the performance and availability of integration solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and support: Diagnose and resolve technical problems with webMethods integration solutions, and provide ongoing support for existing applications.
- Platform maintenance: Manage the deployment of webMethods packages to different environments, and perform regular system maintenance and upgrades.
- Monitoring and performance: Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues affecting availability or capacity, and tune platforms for optimization.
- Deployment and release: Implement and validate code and configuration changes across various environments (e.g., DEV, QA, PROD).
- Root cause analysis: Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes to improve stability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and support articles.
- Collaboration: Work with developers, business users, and other internal teams (e.g., database, network) to ensure seamless integration and resolve issues.
- On-call support: Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to provide after-hours production support.
- This role requires being in the local office 2-3 days per week.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Over 5 years of expertise in the following areas:
- Hands-on experience with webMethods Integration Server, Trading Networks, and Broker / Universal Messaging. Operating systems: Experience with Linux or Unix environments.
- Databases: Basic SQL and database troubleshooting skills, particularly with Oracle. Integration protocols: Familiarity with B2B/EDI protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP) and web services (REST, SOAP).
- Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace, and ticketing systems like ServiceNow or JIRA.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Good communication and collaboration skills
- English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement
