Oracle EPM Associate manager
As an Oracle EPM Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-wide planning and budgeting solutions using Oracle EPBCS / Hyperion Planning. You will work closely with finance and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance applications aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning Application Design & Ownership
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable planning applications (forms, dashboards, cubes, dimensional models).
- Define and manage metadata (dimensions, hierarchies, attributes) aligned with business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Oracle EPM best practices for usability, performance, and design standards.
2. Calculation & Business Logic Development
- Develop and maintain Calculation Manager rules and business logic using Groovy scripting.
- Utilize Groovy APIs (DataGrid, Cube, Member, Application) for dynamic calculations and automation.
- Optimize performance and ensure efficient execution during planning cycles.
3. Planning Cycle Management
- Support end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and rolling planning processes.
- Enable driver-based planning, scenario modeling, and version control.
- Design workflows and approvals aligned with governance requirements.
4. Task Manager & Process Automation
- Configure and manage Task Manager / Task Lists for planning execution.
- Automate processes using EPM Automate and REST APIs (data loads, metadata refresh, scheduling).
- Monitor batch jobs and ensure smooth execution of planning cycles.
5. Data Integration & Management
- Design and manage integrations using FDMEE, Data Management, or ODI.
- Integrate Oracle EPM with Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP, and other systems.
- Implement validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure data integrity.
6. Reporting & Analytics
- Develop reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis using Smart View and EPM tools.
- Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and KPI tracking.
- Align reporting outputs with business and executive requirements.
7. Security & Access Control
- Design and maintain role-based security across applications and data access.
- Manage user provisioning in compliance with organizational policies.
8. Financial Alignment & Close Integration
- Align planning data with actuals and financial consolidation systems (e.g., FCCS).
- Support integration between planning and financial close processes.
- Ensure consistency across planning, consolidation, and reporting layers.
9. Narrative Reporting (Preferred)
- Develop and maintain reports using Oracle Narrative Reporting.
- Enable integration of financial data with executive commentary.
10. System Administration & Environment Management
- Manage application lifecycle (LCM, migrations, backups, environment refresh).
- Support Oracle monthly updates and patch releases.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
11. Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with finance and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct workshops and provide solution design recommendations.
12. User Support & Documentation
- Provide user support, issue resolution, and continuous improvements.
- Deliver training and maintain user/technical documentation.
- 8–10 years of experience in Oracle EPM Planning (EPBCS / Hyperion Planning).
- Strong expertise in Calculation Manager and Groovy scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Smart View, Task Manager, Business Rules, and EPM Automate.
- Proven experience in data integration (FDMEE / ODI / Data Management).
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Oracle FCCS and Narrative Reporting.
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud ERP integrations.
Languages
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
