Network Intern

What will you do:

  • Assist in resolving incidents affecting the operation/availability of network infrastructures consist of a variety of hardware and software products and network related technologies;

  • Assist in supporting of large networks and DC infrastructures including developing and deploying a network and security architectures;

  • Help in defining and maintaining technology documentation;

  • Problem management: diagnosing, tracking and resolving;

  • Perform traffic engineering analysis on network and systems facilities.

Qualifications

What do we expect from you:

Required:

  • Degree or last year in technical subject;

  • Very good communication skills in English (written and oral);

  • Good understanding and experience of core network components like routers, switches (ex. Cisco) gained during learning and lab sessions;

  • At least basic understanding of a network security components like firewalls (ex. Cisco, Paloalto, Fortinet);

  • At least basic understanding and interest in cloud technologies (Azure, Google, AWS, Oracle);

  • Ability to work analytically within a problem-solving environment;

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Good organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills;

  • Willing to learn new technologies to be up to date with modern network world;

Nice to have:

  • Academic experience with network security components (Firewalls, Proxy, IPS/IDS);

  • Basic understanding of IPSec and SSL VPN technologies;

  • Basic experience with Python programming;

  • Knowledge of ITIL based service processes (Incident/Problem/Change Management);

Hybrid work possibilities

As part of this announcement, for people from outside Łódź, Katowice and Warsaw (living in Poland, more than 50 km from the nearest office), in addition to the traditional form of cooperation, we also offer the possibility of hybrid work, understood as work from the place of residence where visits to the office will be limited to a few times in year. For people working in this mode, we anticipate the same path and development opportunities as for people working from offices, additional communication and physical integration meetings twice a year.
