We are seeking an experienced professional to support our client’s EMEA finance team. This is a great role for anyone looking to accelerate their learning while supporting implementation of new tools and processes; an exciting opportunity for candidates to facilitate our client’s setup of a new function and support the evolution of the statutory compliance opportunity model.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to work well with cross-functional teams. They will need to recognize how to strike a balance on getting the details right while still moving fast enough to support the rapid business growth. The candidate will be expected to be highly collaborative and required to partner well with internal partners at all levels. Additionally, this role will have a 1:1 relationship with our client’s entity leads.

 

What will you do:

  • In cooperation with Client and Assistant Financial Controllers (AFC), support preparation of timely and accurate local GAAP statutory financial statements and fulfilment of associated compliance requirements for high-risk entities.

  • In cooperation with Client, ensure preparation of timely and accurate local GAAP statutory financial statements and fulfilment of associated compliance requirements for an assigned portfolio of low- and medium-risk entities.

  • Support the coordination of the local GAAP financial statements audit process for high risk entities.

  • Coordinate the local GAAP financial statements audit process for low- and medium-risk entities.

  • Support adoption of tools, solutions and frameworks implemented to enhance the local GAAP FS preparation process.

  • Support Assistant Financial Controllers (AFC) with ad hoc tasks and statutory compliance-related activities.

  • Collaborate with the Client to ensure consistent implementation of IFRS and other accounting standards.

Qualifications

What do we expect:

  • An experienced (audits processes) person who will collaborate closely with the AFC and Client and will perform their responsibilities to utmost quality and standard in line with agreed processes.

  • Highly collaborative, with excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment while being comfortable with navigating change.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Workiva tool is a must

  • Superb attention to detail and ability to manage projects end to end.

  • BA in Accounting, Finance and or related discipline, or recognized accounting qualification (e.g. CA, ACCA).

  • Working knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP.

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience with a fast growing, multinational company or professional services (e.g. Big Four).

  • Experience working with international teams.

  • US GAAP experience, min 5 years.
