Many underprivileged young people in India receive a blended education at vocational training centers. But with the COVID-19 lockdown in place, most can no longer attend courses. Now a new app offers them over 150 free digital lessons to continue to build their career and life skills virtually.
Developed and offered by Accenture and Quest Alliance, more than 22,000 youths are already using the "Quest App." It provides lessons in communicative English, digital literacy, interacting with customers, and work readiness, such as resume and job interview preparation, teamwork and handling harassment at the workplace. Available in several Indian languages, the content is aligned with the employability skills curriculum for government-run vocational training centers.
The Quest App can be downloaded from the Google Playstore or via desktop computers.
