Accenture currently has an opportunity for an In house Counsel based in the Dublin office. This role is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a global organization supporting high profile global clients.  We are looking for a lawyer with strong contract drafting skills to join our team to help with the review of client facing contracts & to help drive Contracting Excellence projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an analytical mind and loves to problem solve.

Our team brings innovative solutions to our strategic commercial and contract-related functions to support our client teams as they manage, sell and deliver work for our clients globally. As part of this team, you would work closely with the Legal Team Lead and the Director of Legal Services. We are a supportive team with a strong culture of mentorship.

What responsibilities will you have? 

  • Analyse and assess contracts for client facing transactions in accordance with defined policies;
  • Assisting the Team Lead in continuously improving contract review processes and workflows with a focus on balancing risk management, business needs and operational efficiency;
  • Supporting the development of new and existing technology tools;
  • Working closely with the Team Lead to assist with various Contracting Excellence projects and initiatives globally through a cross-functional Centre of Excellence based in Dublin;
  • Collaborating with other Accenture functions and other groups within the Accenture Legal organization globally to improve transactional outcomes;
  • Supporting the Team Lead in training and managing external counsel to ensure close alignment with Accenture’s desired methodology and practices;
  • Communicating with senior stakeholders and problem solving in a collaborative way;
  • Staying abreast of legal developments - in Ireland, the EU and globally - affecting the company, its clients and industries;
  • Assisting in development, governance, deployment and training with respect to Accenture’s contracting standards and processes applicable to client facing transactions globally.

What skills & experience are we looking for? 

  • Experience in contracting, preferably in a fast-paced corporate legal/transaction group
  • Excellent business writing, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Experience or proven aptitude in understanding and addressing multi-jurisdictional legal and commercial issues
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of transactions
  • Interest in understanding and leveraging technology in innovative ways to support the role of contracting lawyers
  • Strategic thinker and implementer
  • Highly responsive and follows through on commitments
  • Highly versatile to be able to develop and change as the role evolves
  • Excellent business writing skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of products
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work independently

Qualifications

What academic qualifications do you need?

  • Qualified Solicitor/Barrister with a minimum of 5 year PQE
