The Federal Financial Manager will serve as a member of the Functional Team and will primarily support the project's internal control testing efforts, audit remediation and audit response coordination. The candidate shall have an understanding of federal finance business processes, internal controls, and Financial Management Systems in support of our clients' efforts to produce auditable financial statements. 

 The candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Develop/Update Internal Sustainment Testing Schedule 
  • Develop/Execute Testing Workbooks and testing approaches to perform internal control testing and developing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures outlining how to perform duties relating to Internal Sustainment Testing and CAPs
  • Lead Segment Reviews 
  • Support external audit requests and act as a liaison/communicate documentation requests
  • Provide project management support

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Related business discipline
  • 7 years of experience in one or more of the following capabilities: federal accounting and/or auditing; federal financial statement audits; audit/internal controls testing
  • US Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CPA Candidate
  • Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) experience
  • Knowledge of Federal Government accounting standards
  • Knowledge of auditing standards and practices
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Experience developing Business Process Documentation  and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
