Bridge Engineer (English Speaking – SAP FICO)
About the Role
The Bridge Engineer will act as a key liaison between stakeholders and the SAP delivery team, ensuring seamless communication, accurate interpretation, and effective coordination throughout project execution.
This role requires strong Japanese proficiency, good understanding of IT and SAP (especially FICO), and the ability to support both business and technical discussions in a dynamic project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time interpretation (English↔ Vietnamese) in meetings, workshops, and daily project communications
- Translate project documents, business requirements, functional/technical specifications, user manuals, and emails with high accuracy
- Act as a communication bridge between clients/users and internal teams (SAP FICO consultants, developers, infrastructure, PMO)
- Support in clarifying requirements, ensuring accurate understanding between business and technical teams
- Assist in tracking issues, follow-ups, and alignment across stakeholders
- Prepare meeting minutes, reports, and status updates in Japanese
- Support UAT sessions, training, and user communication, especially with Japanese stakeholders
- Facilitate cross-cultural communication to ensure smooth collaboration and expectation alignment
- Coordinate on-site activities at client location (factory environment), including workshops and go-live support
Qualifications
- English proficiency at professional working level
- Basic understanding of IT terminology and systems, especially SAP FICO (Finance & Controlling)
- 2–3 years of experience as IT Comtor / Bridge Engineer / Interpreter in IT projects
- Experience supporting SAP or ERP projects is a plus
- Good communication skills in Japanese and Vietnamese; English is an advantage
- Strong coordination, documentation, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a client-facing environment and on-site
Working Condition
- Willing to work on-site at client factory in Hung Yen (~5 months)
