Job Description

As a junior DevOps Engineer you will mainly learn and discover new things.
The goal is to get a detailed overview of the client’s environment, infrastructure and systems and their utilization, deployment, automation, testing and monitoring. At later phases, you will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and improving of the existing automation and integration solutions or creating new ones. Your role will encompass the use of a broad range of tools and On-Premises / Cloud technologies within Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CD).
The position will also require close working and collaboration with various teams such as development, testing, infrastructure, security, etc.

  • Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows OS

  • Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services

  • Experience with scripting (e.g. Bash, Powershell)

  • Desire to work in an information systems environment, eager to learn and improve your skills

  • Ability to creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities

  • Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate with customers, vendors and partners, and across all levels of the organization

  • Logical, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Bonus points:

    • A working understanding of Python

    • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Gitr), CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins or similar) and other automation/configuration tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform or similar)

    • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)

    • Experience with Cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google)
