You Are
You’re a hands-on infrastructure technologist early in your career who thrives in secure, physical + virtual data center environments. You’re methodical, safety-conscious, and love solving problems from rack to hypervisor: hardware lifecycle, virtualization, Linux, and networking. You communicate clearly in high-stakes situations, document precisely, and embrace automation to eliminate toil.

Perform racking, stacking, structured cabling, and component-level swaps under strict chain-of-custody procedures.
Build and operate private cloud stacks (e.g., Azure Stack/Local, Nutanix, AWS Outposts, Google Distributed Cloud).
Administer hypervisors and virtualization clusters; provision and lifecycle-manage VMs and templates.
Support Kubernetes workloads hosted on-prem; assist with cluster node maintenance and upgrades.
Execute OS installation, hardening, and patching (primarily Linux); script routine tasks in Bash/Python/PowerShell.
Monitor capacity, performance, and availability using enterprise tooling; triage and resolve P1/P2 incidents.
Implement backup/restore and contribute to DR runbooks and exercises to meet RTO/RPO objectives.
Apply ITSG-33-aligned security controls, including access management, logging, and encryption-at-rest/in-transit.
Maintain accurate asset records, diagrams, and SOPs; contribute to continuous improvement of operational runbooks.
