Industry X Python Developer

Here’s what you need:   

• 5+ years of general software development experience, featuring significant Python expertise including a deep understanding of standard libraries and common data structures.  

• Strong understanding and application of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles and design patterns.  

• Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable Python applications. Proficiency in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing (e.g., pytest).  

• Practical experience with multi-threading or asynchronous programming for performance optimization.  

• Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL).  

• Skilled in Git for collaborative source control (branching, merging, pull requests).  

• Comfortable working in Linux command-line environments using SSH, VIM, and related tools.  

• Proficiency in Software development, Custom Application Development, Software Design & Solutions, and Continuous Integration tools.  

• Bachelor’s Degree in  technical, computer science, or other relevant STEM discipline.

• Valid passport and ability to travel within Canada, the US and internationally. 

• English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement. 

Bonus points if you have: 

• Experience implementing solutions within Industrial and Manufacturing Environments 

• Experience in software development using Microsoft tools, Ignition. 

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients on a wide range of functional and technical project aspects. 

• Mastery of problem analysis and problem-solving techniques 

• Proven history of successful project delivery as a self-starter or within a team environment 

• General understanding of typical technical or system‑design deliverables 

• Expertise in RESTful API design and consumption, and familiarity with protocols like Kafka and TCP. 

• Experience with Python web frameworks (Django, Flask). 

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI). 

• Domain knowledge in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain distribution environments.
