  • (Internal Title: Contract Administration and Procurement IV)
    • Providing strategic direction on the procurement activities to Dev Co.
    • Support the target price work, de-risking the implementation schedule by securing long lead items/ supplier engagement
    • Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with Dev Co and the CA, developing mutual trust and understanding
    • Support the procurement of the Subcontractors through RFP to financial close on behalf of the CA
    • Support the procurement strategy development, including vendor optimisation, local and sustainable vision realisation assessed against balancing cost, contracting strategy, efficient use of correct procurement route, performance-based supply and market outreach optimisation
    • Supporting Dev Co to secure market coverage on the Target Price at each checkpoint and proposal stage
    • Supplier engagement to ensure project awareness in the market and secure the services of the best of the supply chain
    • Early engagement with the supply chain to support the project, with or without agreements in place
    • Early procurement of critical and long lead items
    • Supporting the Procurement Manager in the development and deployment of the Procurement Plan and new processes. Ensure compliance against their Procurement Management Plan
    • Validating tendered packages and issuing any non-objections
    • Ensure the correct terms and conditions are issued to the Supply chain
    • Address and manage Project and supply chain delivery issues

  • Working Conditions
    • Office-based (5 Days a week in Office)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Claims, or Procurement Management
    • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in large Engineering and Construction projects.
    • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience working in large teams
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of Construction, Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics or Supply Management
  • Licenses OR Certifications:
    • Holding recognized certification in specified fields of Engineering, Contracts Management, Program Management, Procurement Management, or Project Management including PMP (Project Management Professional), Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certificate Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM), or equivalent
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • The ability to conduct procurement projects in Public sector procurement
      Understanding in working with multiple stakeholders in the implementation, deployment, and administration of Program Procurement initiatives
      Deploying and administering procurement initiatives to ensure their deployment and effectiveness in achieving improved project outcomes.
    • Strong understanding of prevailing Project Management methods
    • In-depth knowledge of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
    • Proficient in Project Management software
    • Proven capacity to anticipate, identify, and minimize risks
    • Expert ability to detect, capitalize on, and be sensitive to others' strengths
    • Tact to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension
    • Capability to lead, supervise, delegate, and develop capacity
    • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment by ensuring effective teamwork, promotion of innovation, and overall excellence
    • Competent in understanding interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
    • Demonstrated functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
    • Proven success in providing on-site leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
    • Extensive experience in effectively leading mid-sized multi-discipline contracts teams
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
    • Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
    • Tailor technical information for different audiences through presentations, reports, and other means independently 
    • Skilled in the negotiation of favorable terms under contracts
    • Must foster relationships with various stakeholders
    • Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership   
    • Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities    
    • Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)  
    • Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven environment

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The recruiting efforts for this position are intended to fill a brand-new position.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role. It does not represent a maximum limit — in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
