SAP GTS Senior Consultant
This role requires deep knowledge of SAP GTS’s unique functionalities to help optimize global trade compliance and customs processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP GTS solutions tailored to global trade requirements.
Collaborate with global and regional business teams to analyze complex trade compliance needs and align business requirements with sound technical solutions.
Manage the full project lifecycle, including blueprint creation, system setup, integration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support—ensuring seamless execution of global rollout strategies.
Provide expert insights into SAP GTS modules, including Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Risk Management, to boost productivity and compliance.
Oversee SAP GTS integration with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA, ensuring proper handling of trade data like product classification, license determination, and trade documents.
Address complex international trade challenges, including restricted party screening, import/export compliance, and free trade agreements.
Drive strategic knowledge sharing, conduct user training sessions, and provide technical mentorship to team members.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on SAP GTS experience with a track record in trade compliance and global customs operations. Involvement in at least 3 end-to-end SAP GTS implementation projects, including leading global rollouts across multinational teams. Advanced expertise in SAP GTS functional modules, such as:
- Compliance Management: Restricted Party Screening (RPS), Embargo Checks, Legal Control, License Management.
- Customs Management: Customs Export/Import Compliance, transit procedures, Product Classification, and Customs Declaration.
- Risk Management: Trade Preference Management, Letter of Credit Management, Export Credit Insurance.
Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA integration, especially across multi-country trade environments. Familiarity with trade control systems such as SPL screening, tariff codes classification, and high-volume transaction processing in GTS. Demonstrated ability to manage complex international trade and customs scenarios while adhering to local and regional compliance laws. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
