Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components. The role requires working closely with different teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient applications. The engineer actively participates in iterative development cycles, continuously improving software performance and adapting solutions to meet evolving business requirements. Collaboration and problem-solving are integral parts of the daily routine, ensuring that the software aligns with organizational goals and user expectations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
-Manage incidents, problems, and change requests related to AR, credit management, collections, disputes, and cash application within SLA timelines.
-Support FSCM components including Credit Management, Dispute Management, Collections Management, and Biller Direct (where applicable).
-Analyze and resolve production issues related to credit blocks, payment discrepancies, invoice disputes, and dunning activities.
-Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring AR and FSCM issues and implement permanent fixes.
-Support integration touchpoints between SD, FI-AR, FSCM, and external banking/payment systems.
-Assist in minor enhancements, testing, and validation of changes impacting AR and FSCM processes.
-Support period-end activities including month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting support for AR.
-Maintain process documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles for FSCM/AR AMS support
Professional & Technical Skills:
-Strong functional expertise in AR processes: invoicing, cash application, dunning, dispute handling, and reconciliation.
-Hands-on experience with SAP FSCM modules: Credit Management, Collections Management, and Dispute Management.
-Experience with SD–FI integration impacting billing, receivables, and credit processes.
-Proficiency in incident management, RCA, testing, and documentation within an AMS setup.
-Good analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
-6–8 years of experience in SAP Q2C / OTC, with strong hands-on exposure to FSCM and Accounts Receivable.
Additional Information:
-Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or Information Technology.
-Experience working in AMS / Production Support environments with SLA-driven delivery.
-Strong understanding of financial accounting and receivables processes.
-Experience supporting global business users and finance stakeholders.
