Responsible AI

Global Veritas Challenge 2021

Part of the Veritas initiative, the inaugural Global Veritas Challenge 2021 is the first step towards operationalising Fairness—described in the Fairness, Ethics, Accountability and Transparency (FEAT) principles—to guide the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics in financial services.

We’re looking forward to announcing the winning teams at SFF, where they’ll present their solutions to our global audience.

Veritas Phase 2 Methodology & Toolkit Version 1.0

We’re also proud to be supporting the development of Veritas Phase 2 methodology where we explore the Fairness implementation onto Insurance use-cases, complete the methodology to cover Ethics, Accountability and Transparency, and develop the Veritas Toolkit version 1.0— a combined set of diagnostic and assessment tools—to aid the implementation of Veritas methodology.

Sustainable finance

Driven by pressure from stakeholders and incentives from regulators, APAC’s banks, insurance companies and investment firms are facing increased pressure to adopt sustainability initiatives. In light of this, we commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a survey of 250+ decision makers and influencers on sustainable finance initiatives in APAC.

In the report, you’ll learn why leaders see sustainability as a strategic priority and discover the insights that will ensure a deeper and more sustained positive impact on individual organisations, societies and the environment.

We’ll also introduce our cloud-based intelligent ESG score accelerator, bringing industry-specific metrics harmonised across global standards such as GRI, SASB, WEF, transparent calculation, and a flexible design for ESG score calculation. This tool will help financial institutions make lending, financed emission calculation, and green portfolio management decisions, amongst others.

Tech talent

The Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) has partnered with Accenture to gather insights from industry leaders and experts, producing the FinTech Talent Report 2021. In addition to assessing the talent challenges and opportunities of the industry, this research provides recommendations, supporting FinTech leaders and their HR counterparts to build Singapore’s FinTech workforce, and further solidify the country’s position as a global industry leader.

Open Financial Services

In 2020, MAS, the Smart Nation and Digital Government Group (SNDGG), and The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) launched the Singapore Financial Data Exchange (SGFinDex) with seven banks. Built on Singapore’s National Digital Identity (Singpass), SGFinDex is the world's first public digital infrastructure to use a centrally-managed online consent system to enable individuals to access financial information across government agencies and financial institutions. Financial planning is made easier and more effective with SGFinDex. Following its success with participating bank customers, the next phase is to enhance SGFinDex with investment holdings data from The Central Depository (CDP), providing users with a holistic view of their financial portfolio. We’re proud to be involved in this innovative project as the test manager coordinating complex, industry-wide testing across the seven banks, MyMoneySense, and CDP. Next, we are working as project manager capacity in the subsequent phase of enabling insurers to be part of SGFinDex to create the world’s first open financial services platform.
