Karthik Narain leads Accenture Cloud First and is also responsible for the company’s Data & AI business and growth strategy. In these roles, he leads teams from across Accenture’s services to help clients move, shape and operate their businesses in the cloud and unlock the power of data & AI for enterprise reinvention. He oversees Accenture capabilities, acquisitions, talent, investments and ecosystem partnerships in public and hybrid cloud, data & AI and software engineering. Karthik is also a member of the company’s Global Management Committee.
Since the formation of Cloud First in 2020, cloud has become a top growth-driver for the company and cloud-certified talent has nearly tripled under Karthik’s leadership. In recent years, Karthik has shaped Accenture’s thinking on key topics including the cloud continuum; unleashing the power of data on cloud; preparing for a new era of generative AI; and harnessing cloud, AI & the metaverse for breakthrough innovation, as these technologies accelerate into megatrends. He has helped evolve Accenture’s strategic managed services, extended the company’s leadership with ecosystem partners and drives substantial investments in solutions, acquisitions and talent to keep Accenture at the forefront of the market.
A technology industry veteran, Karthik previously served as the lead for Accenture Technology in North America, helping guide Global 2000 brands use the power of the cloud and other technologies to transform their businesses. Over his 20-year career, he has led many innovative technology programs for clients across a variety of industry sectors, including Financial Services, High Tech and Software and Platforms. Karthik also previously led Technology services for Accenture’s Communications, Media and High-Tech industry segments.
Prior to joining Accenture in 2015, Karthik led the High-Tech business for HCL Technologies where he was responsible for some of HCL’s marquee client relationships. Karthik holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Management from the University of Madras and a master’s degree in Computer Science and Management from Bharathidasan University.
