Senior AI Data Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team as a Senior AI Data Engineer. As an essential part of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business decision-making. We are looking for a professional with strong expertise in data engineering, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT development, and data governance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Data Engineering or related roles, including 1+ year as a technical lead, team lead, or solution architect
- Proven track record delivering end-to-end data projects, from requirements to production
- Deep knowledge of GCP or AWS, including cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Redshift
- Working knowledge of Generative AI concepts (must have), such as embeddings, RAG, prompt engineering, and tool calling, and how to apply them to business problems
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with a solid grasp of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and modern data architectures
- Solid understanding of data quality, governance, and security principles
- Client-facing experience, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field
- Fluent in English (C1 or above)
Responsibilities
- Define and own data architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient
- Lead the design and delivery of data platforms, pipelines, and models supporting analytics and AI use cases
- Build data foundations for AI solutions, such as RAG pipelines and embedding stores, and identify where AI tools can improve workflows and outcomes
- Lead and mentor the team, setting technical priorities, standards, and best practices
- Ensure production reliability, performance, and data quality
- Act as the main technical point of contact for clients, translating needs into solution designs
- Shape the technical roadmap, including tool selection and effort estimation
Nice to Have
- GCP or AWS certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Solutions Architect)
- Experience with Databricks, Airflow, Spark, or similar tools
- Experience with agentic AI or LLM application development
- Pre-sales or consulting experience
- French or other additional languages
