I am the project manager for a project at a low cost mobile provider, and also work with another large account. Internally, I am also responsible for recruiting and great place to work.

A day in my life

On a normal day I wake up early to get a head start and preparing todays meetings. The meetings are typically with my clients discussing relevant topics for their strategic agenda, in addition there would be some internal meetings and counseling activities. Around 4PM I get on my bike to pick up my son in the kindergarten, and on my way I would also pick up my dog at home and walk him at the same time. In the afternoon we have dinner as a family and if the weather is nice I spend some time outside in the woods around Oslo.

My advice

I think it is important to find your own recipe to life, different things are important for different people. Regardless of that, I think the key is to always keep your priorities straight both in private life and at work. This sounds easy but it is not. Making sure you don’t underprioritize the important things in favor of things that seems urgent or because you don’t want to disappoint someone is absolutely essential.
