What I do

In my role as Program and Project Management Specialist, I am a scrum master for a team, and I assist the team with several things including helping them with issues and priorities, raise action points to the management etc. I usually say that “I am a potato” which is a Norwegian expression of “I can be used for everything”.

 

I am also lucky that I am involved in several Accenture internal tasks, projects, and initiatives. I get to plan meetings, so Delivery Excellence can meet and exchange knowledge. I am a mental health ally where I can help people who are having a hard time. I am also involved in sustainability where we look into how we can improve. There are so many opportunities around you – just say yes.

A day in my life

A day in my life is never the same. I usually start the day with getting an overview of how my team is doing and gather information to get the complete picture. I always ask everyone for the state of play, and if there are action points or something to follow up on, I do that as well. I normally spend some time getting the right people to talk to each other and to me. I also participate in a lot of meetings and a lot on my to-do list, but I like it that way.

My advice

If you do not love what you do, your workdays will become extremely long. Take on the challenges you get, and be positive – it is the only way to grow.
