Would you like to head Accenture Norway’s relationship and partnership building with the most promising and inspiring Fintechs in the Nordics?


The rise of challenger banks, platform players moving into banking and Fintechs, with flexible cloud-based core systems and focus on seamless customer experience, are increasingly putting pressure on incumbent banks and generating an accelerating revenue shift. Due to capital requirements, most Fintechs have mainly focused on payments and other less capital-intensive parts of the banking value chain. However, we see an ongoing shift with Fintechs starting to target mortgages and other core banking offerings. In the UK, the situation is already pronounced with Fintechs grabbing up to 14% of the entire banking revenue pool. In the Nordics, which is increasingly taking a position as a European Fintech hub, it is expected that we will see a similar scene in the near future. Faced by this trend, Nordic banks are lining up partnerships, acquisitions, establishing venture funds and accelerators. Yet, the increasing activity in the Fintech market is also making it challenging to navigate.


At Accenture Financial Services we find this situation intriguing. We work with the largest banks and insurance companies across the Nordics, and have a wide range of established partnerships with Fintechs and start-ups. Mixed with our deep technical and industry expertise, we are perfectly positioned to spot the opportunities that arise from the wave of Fintechs entering the market. We are able to help our banking clients to navigate, assist Fintech partners grow their business and create value. To strengthen our position further, we are now looking for a skilled individual with a strong interest and passion to lead the Fintech space of our business and help ensure we stay ahead of our competitors.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Accenture Financial Services Fintech practice area in Norway, and be the “go-to person” in Accenture Nordics for all Fintech-related matters
  • Help ensure that we are visible in the Fintech marketplace, both as a thought leader and as a valuable partner
  • Support the development of Fintech partner strategies, and joint go-to market approaches
  • Stay updated on the Nordic and global Fintech market. Also, have an updated Point of View on how Fintechs will continue to disrupt incumbent banks, and how incumbents should respond 
  • Present Accenture’s Point of View to our clients, at large and small conferences, as well as in relevant media
  • Be part of cross-functional teams delivering high quality projects for our clients

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D., or comparable experience from the industry
  • 4-7 years of work experience, including experience from consulting
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track-record from building strong relationships with senior manager-/C-level
  • Ability to work alongside both business and technical team members and clients
  • It is positive if the candidate has existing relationships within the start-up-/Fintech-space and/or with decision makers within banking and insurance industry players in Norway/Nordics
