Accenture Smart Grid Services (ASGS) provides solutions and services to utilities owning electricity, water and gas networks in the energy sector. The ASGS practice focuses on delivering innovative business solutions that enable high performance in the journey to a smarter transmission and distribution grid. From automated metering and integrated smart grid planning and deployment, asset management, work management, and field force transformation, ASGS provides the in-depth, end-to-end expertise utilities need to achieve their strategic and operational goals. The Accenture Smart Grid Services Business Services is subdivided in the following sub-offerings: 


  • Digital Asset Management
  • Digital Field Worker
  • Advanced Meter Operations
  • Intelligent Grid Operations



As an experienced professional in Accenture Consulting you will assist customers to achieve high performance in this complex transformation. Accenture is looking for a new colleague with a proven track record to be based in Oslo, Norway, and work with clients across the Nordic region. 


Your role will typically include:  


  • Support the Accenture Smart Grid Services organization across the Nordic region to deliver sales and revenue targets.
  • Generate leads and manage sales of new opportunities
  • Lead and participate in the delivery phases (analyze, design, build, test and deploy) of Asset Management projects 
  • Serve as or develop into a subject matter expert for Asset Management within the Accenture Smart Grid Services Nordic team.
  • Develop credibility and key relationships internally and within the external marketplace.


Industry skills requirements:


  • Recognised expertise in the Utilities and Smart Grid community
  • Deep contextual understanding of Utilities and Smart Grid, both from business and IT point of view
  • Proven track record of leading / managing Asset Management projects successfully
  • Ability to demonstrate deep operational content skills in utilities industry 
  • Previous systems (integration) experience (SAP, IFS, Maximo, Oracle, etc).
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience is required (consulting and utilities)


Technical skills requirements:


  • Asset Management: 6 years of previous experience in one or more of the following areas: 
  • Asset Strategy, Asset Investment Planning and Maintenance Policies
  • Enterprise Asset Management solutions and Project Portfolio Management Solutions
  • Asset Analytics and GIS implementation 
  • Advanced maintenance strategies/condition-based maintenance 
  • Asset modelling and information governance
  • Business process design to support the transmission and distribution functions of a Utility, particularly GIS-enabling processes and Asset Investment Planning & Management

Professional skills requirements:


  • Consulting experience
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English
  • Builds strong relationships internally within Accenture and Customers 
  • Business vision (business acumen) 
  • Affinity with IT and technology
  • Proactive, pragmatic and proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment 
  • Desire to continually learn and improve own knowledge and understanding
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate stewardship/people management skills and to act in the capacity of a practice builder
  • Possess the motivation and drive to achieve results and get things done.
