Refugee Talent Hub (RTH) is an initiative from the business community in the Netherlands. During the refugee crisis, the concept of Refugee Talent Hub was presented in January 2016 at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. The main idea behind RTH is creating a hub/ network that is focused on: connecting refugees to the (Dutch) organizations. There is shortage on the Dutch labor market, and unused potential and talent of refugees, companies have an important role in minimizing this gap. Herewith, Refugee Talent Hub wants to bridge the gap between organizations and Refugee Talents. The foundation has a large network of partners from both the public as well as the private sectors (Accenture, KPMG, Arcadis, Microsoft, Ministry of the Internal Affairs, Ministry of Infrastructure and Water management etc.) and has a national database of talented refugees who are willing to enter the Dutch Labor market.
Refugee Talent Hub supports Refugee Talents in the period that they are looking for work, so they will become (even) more attractive to employers, recruiters and Dutch organizations. Through the means of Meet & Greets, recruitment days and specific trainings. In cooperation with partners, Refugee Talent Hub also offers ‘work experience programs’ in which Refugee Talents get a first taste in working for a (Dutch) organization. For example, fifteen Refugee Talents started a program at Rijkswaterstaat, twelve started at Booking.com, six started to start at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and ten Refugee Talents will start at the Azure Academy of Microsoft. Step-by-step, the Refugee Talent Hub wants to achieve sustainable integration of refugees through labor participation.
Working at Refugee Talent Hub: you work in a small team of motivated volunteers, consultants from Accenture and a temporary staff member from the Ministry of the Internal Affairs. You will meet a variety of (large) companies and of course many talented refugees. Since the organization is relatively small, your contribution is immediately visible, and you will be responsible for your own work. For example, you can: organize an RTH event with one of the partners, roll out external communication etc. There is also plenty of room to express your opinions and sharing new ideas.

Corporate Functions supports and manages our organization’s activities by providing shared corporate services, such as Finance, HR and Recruitment, Legal, Procurement, Facilities & Services, and Marketing & Communications
Being a RTH’er means that you need to be an allrounder, organized and should have affinity with the refugee topic.
