I work at a client site as part of an Accenture team. Every day, I gain new knowledge, sometimes in surprising aspects of my role. I continuously hone my skills, such as performing thorough business analysis of client’s requirement and learning to configure a customized requirement on the system as I perform my tasks. I thrive as I collaborate with multiskilled colleagues, who come from diverse backgrounds and who are quick to share professional insights that deepen my expertise. At the same time, I enhance my relationship building skills through frequent interactions with the client. I learned that developing good client rapport facilitates efficient project delivery.
I still remember my first project in Accenture, which was one of the most exciting I’ve been on. We worked with a utility industry group of companies that had many subsidiary companies. To implement SAP Business Planning and Consolidation for the client, I studied the different business natures of its subsidiaries. In the end, my team and I managed to to help the client simplify business processes for financial reporting that used to take 2 weeks down to only 2 days, which subsequently allowed them the freedom to focus on business strategy instead. Seeing how client appreciate the changes we implemented and improve the way they run their business makes our work truly rewarding!
Besides gaining experience in such projects, I also acquire critical skills that enable me to stay on top of my field of expertise. I also cultivate my growth through continuous learning via online, classroom and external training. That’s what I love about my journey in Accenture. As I help clients achieve their business goals, I also pave my path to growth. I feel lucky to be in a company that celebrates my strengths and puts me in close contact with colleagues from different backgrounds, race, religion or lifestyle. Connecting and engaging with them enrich my growth as an individual and as a professional.
In my leisure time, I love to explore and learn more about the world. I spend a lot of time outdoors, trying sports activities such as surfing, wall climbing, scuba diving and ice skating. I also love to relax at coffee shops, whilst looking up my next travel destination online.
