Legal and Commercial Services professionals deliver and coordinate legal, contract and commercial advice and counsel in support of Accenture's or our clients' business, working to manage and mitigate risk and ensure ethical behavior and compliance with laws and company policies.     

 

The Contract Specialist provides contract execution and administrative support to Contract Management personnel. Track deliverables, provide documentation control and perform other duties as required.


Job Description

 

The Legal Global Service Center (“LGSC”) in KL provides legal and contract management support globally within Accenture. There are 3 alignments within the LGSC based on the type of work and each individual will be placed in one particular alignment. The 3 different alignments are:

 

(1)  Legal Contracting Support

 

Job Summary:

Support the Legal Services team within Contracting in different geographies in documenting and reviewing contractual documents with clients from various operating groups in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and client requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and reviewing of NDAs, RFP’s, Proposals, Arrangement Letters/Statement of Work, Marketing Materials, Change Orders, Teaming Agreements, creation of Due Diligence Memos, etc.

• May be required to negotiate NDAs, Proposals, Statement of Work and other contracts with internal client and external client when needed;

• May be required to train team members and developing checklists and process documents for reviewing • NDAs, RFP’s, Proposals, Arrangement Letters/Statement of Work, etc.;

• Directly liaising with internal stakeholders on various legal and commercial issues;

• Maintain contract / subcontract compliance in line with company policies and procedures, ensure issues are resolved and escalate to line manager with issues;

• May assist with the coaching of Service Center  Professionals;

• May be responsible for providing individuals with positive and developmental feedback, and support any specific training initiatives; and

• May have supervisory responsibilities.

 

(2) Legal CORE Support

 

Job Summary:

Support the Legal Services team within CORE in different geographies in documenting and reviewing contractual documents with vendors, suppliers and alliance partners in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and Accenture client requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Drafting and reviewing of Vendor Agreements, Supplier Agreements, Sponsorship Agreements, Independent Contractor Agreements, Marketing Agreements, Resale Agreements, Local Country Agreements to Alliance Agreements, etc.

• May be required to negotiate the abovementioned agreements with the vendors and suppliers;

• May be required to train team members and developing checklists and process documents for reviewing the abovementioned agreements.;

• Directly liaising with internal stakeholders on various legal and commercial issues;

• Maintain contract compliance in line with company policies and procedures, ensure issues are resolved and escalate to line manager with issues;

• May assist with the coaching of Service Center  Professionals;

• May be responsible for providing individuals with positive and developmental feedback, and support any specific training initiatives; and

• May have supervisory responsibilities.

  

(3) Contract Management Support

 

Job Summary:

Provide contract management support to onshore Contract Managers or project teams at various locations to ensure contract compliance.  This support may include, but is not limited to, tracking deliverables and change requests, documentation management, and other duties as assigned.  The individual may be requested to assist in development of certain CM Processes such as Correspondence Management, Deliverables Matrix, Intellectual Property, Confidentiality and Data Privacy Management or other CM Processes. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support the onshore Contract Manager or project team in accomplishing assigned tasks, including performing administrative tasks such as filing and other documentation management activities;

• May perform research on contractual terms and conditions or other regulations;

• With supervision, may work on small, multiple engagements or single engagement;

• May act as the primary contact between the project team and/or business unit and Legal Group as well as Client Financial Management group;

• Responsible for ensuring that where Contract Management is deployed, contract compliance is maintained and issues resolved.  If the contract is not complied with or issues are not resolved they must be promptly escalated to their Contract Management line manager

 

 

 

• Excellent academic qualifications:

• For Legal Contracting and CORE roles, Bachelor of Laws degree is a pre-requisite.

• For the Contract Management role, a degree in commerce, law, finance, engineering or any related discipline is acceptable. 

• Open roles for entry-level and more experienced candidates. For experienced candidates, having contract drafting experience (for roles (1) and (2)) or project management experience (for role (3)) is an advantage.

• Able to work well individually as well as with a team

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

• Well-rounded and able to effectively manage multiple tasks and comply with deadlines

• Experience of working in a global setup is preferred

• Possesses problem-solving and analytical skills
