Threats to cyber security are increasing. Our Accenture Security practice provides advisory and technical support to help our clients improve their information risk and security management without compromising governance and compliance. The Information Security Graduate Programme aims to deliver the next generation of cyber security specialists.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
DO I QUALIFY?
We look for a relevant degree in cyber systems, software or information security, engineering or computer science. As an Associate in Security, you’ll need to have or be expecting a minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree (achieved or predicted). We look for either a STEM degree (science, technology, engineering, maths) with information security subjects or relevant work experience, such as an internship. You’ll be a ‘people person’, well-rounded and happy to take on new challenges. Flexibility is important, as you’ll be joining a versatile industry. You’ll need the ability to work with different teams but also independently, across the UK and sometimes Europe. You should expect to be taken out of your comfort zone and discover something new all the time – so a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn will be key.

WHERE WILL I BE BASED?
You can expect comprehensive training which includes the possibility of individual self-study leading towards CISSP, CISM and ISO27001 lead auditor qualifications.
You’ll begin your career learning the basics of Accenture and our Security practice, working alongside managers and senior managers on client engagements.
Once you have mastered the basics, you’ll develop skills in project management and methodology, solutions delivery and security assessment, while working with big-name clients where Accenture have a security presence. Our aim is to help you move from Analyst to Consultant as quickly as possible.

The info you need to know about applying to an Accenture programme.
Applications for most programmes open in the autumn. To apply, you need to complete an online profile. You can only apply to one programme in any six month period but if you are unsuccessful you can apply to other roles.
If you are suitable for the role, you’ll be invited to our Discovery Portal. This is an interactive experience and takes about an hour, but there’s no time limit. You’ll receive feedback within a few days.
If you’re successful at the Discovery Portal stage, you’ll be invited to one of our assessment centres where you’ll take part in a variety of activities designed to help us find out what your strengths are.
For some of our programmes, the final stage will be one or two technical interviews with managers from the specialist area you have applied to work in. We’ll give you lots of advice before your interviews.
Well done! If you’re successful in all the stages we’ll offer you a place on the programme and tell you your start date. If you don’t pass, we’ll give you the opportunity to get feedback.
Three months before your start date, we’ll ask you to provide evidence of your academic results and two references. We’ll then send you details of your training week where we’ll welcome you into Accenture!
