WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
As an Analyst, you’ll work as part of a project team to build enduring, trust-based relationships at the heart of a client’s organisation, helping them to address their most significant business issues. You’ll get early responsibility and build your skills and expertise through interesting and challenging work. This will be focused on specific industries: Financial Services, Products, Communications, Media and Technology, Health & Public Service and Resources. Not only will this enable you to pursue your passion, but you’ll develop an understanding of the business issues and technologies applicable to each industry, enabling you to grow and play your part in delivering innovative solutions tailored to each client.
DO I QUALIFY?
We look for outstanding performers, with an open and collaborative mindset. As an Analyst, you’ll need well-rounded capabilities with a proactive, driven and self-empowering approach. A dedicated teammate, you’ll need strong communication, project management and problem-solving skills, and high learning ability. Above all, you’ll need to be naturally curious about business and technology. This programme is open to those with a bachelor’s degree (in any discipline – achieved or predicted).
WHERE WILL I BE BASED?
You’ll need to be fully prepared to travel as client projects could take you anywhere in the country – or even the world – though you will be aligned to a base at one of our main office locations in either Edinburgh, London, Manchester or Newcastle.

Training & development
We believe that your career is your adventure. All this training, experience and client exposure is focused on turning you into a trusted client advisor; someone with deep industry experience and digital awareness who is able to become a future leader at Accenture.
What you know is what we can sell to our clients. So we’ll invest in your development from your first day. And realising you need to be up-to-speed as soon as possible, we’ll make sure you have all the training you need. As well as an award-winning induction programme and a supportive graduate community within the Analyst Consulting Group, you can look forward to mentoring from some of our most successful leaders. The training you’ll receive will be widespread and practical. It will combine sessions that focus on critical soft skills as well as the core capabilities you’ll need to develop into a trusted and successful consultant.
All training will help you get the all-round skills for success but it will be your experience that will really make the difference, which is why the variety of live project work we’ll give you will be so important.
Our Consulting graduate programme at a glance:
Finding your feet
- Two weeks’ onboarding training.
- Key focus on networking, getting to know Accenture and your support networks.
- By week 3 you’ll be placed on your first project. You’ll get stuck in and hit the ground running as you get to know your team.
3 -15 months
Exploring your options
- Further exposure to our business.
- Training in our strategic priorities of key technologies such as Blockchain, AI, Cloud and more. Data fluency training, Cloud certification, Agile Scrum Master Certification, Innovation Training, communication training and bitesized sessions run regularly on core consulting hot topics.
- We also have a comprehensive inclusion and diversity training programme on topics such as gender authenticity, racism, unconscious bias, LGBTQ+ and mental health issues.
Ongoing learning and development
- Build deeper industry and functional skills as you integrate into your future practice.
- Opportunity to gain industry certifications.

The info you need to know about applying to an Accenture programme.
1. Online application
Applications for most programmes open in the autumn. To apply, you need to complete an online profile. You can only apply to one programme in any six month period but if you are unsuccessful you can apply to other roles.
2. Discovery portal
If you are suitable for the role, you’ll be invited to our Discovery Portal. This is an interactive experience and takes about an hour, but there’s no time limit. You’ll receive feedback within a few days.
3. Assessment centre
If you’re successful at the Discovery Portal stage, you’ll be invited to one of our assessment centres where you’ll take part in a variety of activities designed to help us find out what your strengths are.
4. Technical interviews
For some of our programmes, the final stage will be one or two technical interviews with managers from the specialist area you have applied to work in. We’ll give you lots of advice before your interviews.
Well done! If you’re successful in all the stages we’ll offer you a place on the programme and tell you your start date. If you don’t pass, we’ll give you the opportunity to get feedback.
Three months before your start date, we’ll ask you to provide evidence of your academic results and two references. We’ll then send you details of your training week where we’ll welcome you into Accenture!
