Responsibilities 

  • Deliver sourcing and procurement engagements in the areas of strategic cost reduction, sourcing optimization, procurement transformation, including but not limited to:

  • Define and execute sourcing optimization initiatives such as direct/ indirect/ capex sourcing, cost take-out, category management, should-cost modeling, procure-to-pay transformation, spend management solutions, etc.

  • Identify, evaluate and prioritize sourcing opportunities through in-depth spend analysis, market research, etc.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to identify key insights and profit-growth opportunities

  • Implement and execute ideas, capturing tangible improvement to the bottom line

  • Support execution of various stages of strategic cost reduction, zero based budgeting and operations value transformation programs

  • Support in business development activities such as responding to proposal requests, conducting roadshows/demos, staffing management, people engagement, asset development, etc.

  • Address both strategic and operational supply chain issues within Sourcing and Procurement 

  • Driving, supervising and reviewing technology diagnosis and value assessments to identify value creation opportunities for clients 

  • Guiding team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using problem solving principles and past experience

  • Work effectively within groups of highly talented individuals and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies (e.g. category management, spend analyses, reverse auctions, supplier contract management, contract negotiations, etc.)

  • Manage the collection and analysis of large amounts of data, develop key insights / findings, and propose solutions to various Supply Chain issues. 

  • Gather client requirements, such as spend, other accounting data, etc.

  • Develop supplier market intelligence, understand supplier market economics, develop pricing benchmarks. 

  • Facilitate compliance to sourcing processes. 

  • Identify and maximize addressable spend.

Requirements: 

  • 4+ years of progressive industry and/or consulting experience in related industry: preferably in Automotive, IT/High-tech, Industrial/Consumer Goods, Banking and Finance, Retail/General Merchandising Store (GMS), Logistics Services

  • Ability to define and execute end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes including category management and procurement analytics, supplier management, sourcing, contracts & order/goods receipt/invoice management

  • Strong technical understanding of factors driving pricing and possess experience in direct negotiations with suppliers.

  • Excellent data analytics, data interpretation and insights finding skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think on their feet and able to develop creative solutions

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Cross-cultural competence with an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrate strong ability to interpret business case solutions into quantifiable customer values. 

  • Should be diplomatic, flexible, and have a good team approach. 

  • Demonstrate a strong track record of solving complex business issues and delivering client satisfaction.
