We are seeking an operationally strong AI Data Security & Privacy Lead with 9+ years of experience and deep expertise in data protection, privacy governance, information security governance, compliance, and enterprise risk management. This role is ideal for professionals who can lead the governance, oversight, and strategic direction of data protection and privacy requirements across modern AI/ML and GenAI initiatives. You will define enterprise expectations for responsible data usage in AI, lead privacy and data risk reviews, govern high-impact decisions involving sensitive, personal, confidential, and regulated data, and help ensure AI programs align with legal, regulatory, and organizational data protection requirements. The candidate should demonstrates strong leadership, advanced privacy and governance expertise, and a practical understanding of AI-specific data protection risks such as data leakage, prompt exposure, unintended retention, insecure outputs, regulated data misuse, and cross-border data handling challenges.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead AI-driven solution design and delivery by applying GenAI and Agentic AI to address complex business challenges, automate processes, and integrate intelligent insights into enterprise workflows for measurable impact.
Lead data security and privacy governance for AI, ML, and GenAI use cases across the enterprise, ensuring consistent and compliant handling of data.
Define enterprise requirements and review criteria for secure and compliant use of sensitive, confidential, personal, and regulated data across AI development, training, testing, and deployment.
Lead privacy and data protection reviews for AI initiatives covering training data, prompts, embeddings, vector stores, outputs, conversation history, and integration with third-party services or hosted models.
Govern high-risk AI data usage scenarios, including cross-border data flows, production data usage, regulated datasets, sensitive business content, and long-term data retention within AI workflows.
Guide decisions on acceptable data use, retention, sharing, masking, anonymization, pseudonymization, and access boundaries across AI platforms and operational processes.
Provide leadership on data protection implications of GenAI capabilities such as retrieval, memory, prompt storage, output handling, conversation persistence, and contextual data reuse.
Oversee privacy and data risk assessments for AI systems involving cross-border processing, external providers, high-impact use cases, and novel or emerging AI capabilities.
Define and promote enterprise standards for privacy-preserving AI techniques such as federated learning, synthetic data, differential privacy, anonymization, and other privacy-enhancing technologies where applicable.
Partner with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Risk, Security, Product, and Engineering teams to align AI data usage with enterprise policy, regulatory obligations, and risk tolerance.
Review, challenge, and act as an escalation point for complex or high-risk AI use cases involving production data, regulated information, or sensitive business content.
Drive consistency in governance documentation, review processes, evidence requirements, control exceptions, and exception handling for AI data and privacy decisions.
Represent AI data privacy and protection considerations in architecture reviews, governance forums, and leadership discussions.
Guide remediation priorities, compensating controls, and risk acceptance decisions for identified data protection and privacy gaps in AI implementations.
Drive maturity of AI data security and privacy governance practices across multiple programs, platforms, and business units.
Contribute to enterprise standards, policy updates, and awareness initiatives related to AI data usage, privacy expectations, and responsible data handling practices.
Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on review quality, risk interpretation, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Professional & Technical Skills
Strong grasp of Generative and Agentic AI, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation frameworks. Ability to align AI capabilities with business objectives while ensuring scalability, responsible use, and tangible value realization. The candidate should be AI Native.
9+ years of experience in data privacy, data protection, information security governance, compliance, or related leadership roles.
Strong expertise in enterprise privacy and data protection requirements across complex digital, data, and cloud environments.
Experience leading governance and risk reviews for AI, ML, GenAI, or data-intensive technology programs.
Strong understanding of privacy risks in AI systems including data leakage, misuse of regulated data, excessive retention, prompt exposure, insecure output handling, and uncontrolled data propagation.
Expertise in reviewing data handling practices involving classification, minimization, anonymization, masking, retention, deletion, pseudonymization, and controlled sharing.
Experience evaluating third-party providers, hosted services, external integrations, and AI platforms for privacy and data protection concerns.
Familiarity with AI and GenAI data flows including training data, retrieval layers, vector stores, embeddings, prompts, memory, and generated outputs.
Strong ability to interpret legal, regulatory, and enterprise policy obligations in the context of AI-enabled use cases.
Experience leading risk discussions, governance decisions, exception handling, and stakeholder alignment for sensitive and regulated data use cases.
Understanding of privacy-preserving AI techniques such as federated learning, synthetic data, differential privacy, or related privacy-enhancing approaches.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across legal, compliance, security, product, engineering, and leadership teams.
Ability to translate business use cases into clear data protection expectations, governance requirements, review criteria, and decision outcomes.
Knowledge of frameworks and regulations such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and enterprise privacy governance standards.
