Management Consultant - Utilities (Transmission & Distribution)
About the Role
We are seeking a Utilities Management Consultant in Transmission & Distribution domain to support business and technology transformation initiatives across the utilities sector. The role combines industry expertise, strategic problem-solving, and consulting delivery capabilities to help organizations improve operational performance, drive innovation, and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and evaluate business strategies, market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry developments within the utilities sector.
• Develop business, operational, and technology-led solutions aligned with client objectives and transformation goals.
• Support project planning activities, including scope definition, effort estimation, business case development, and delivery planning.
• Lead workstreams and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes that meet stakeholder expectations.
• Contribute to proposal development, solution design, and pre-sales activities for new and existing engagements.
• Identify opportunities to expand capabilities, enhance service offerings, and support business growth initiatives.
• Coach and support junior team members through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and project guidance.
Required Qualifications and Experiences
• Experience in the Utilities industry, particularly in Transmission and Distribution (T&D) or General Strategy.
• Strong understanding of utility industry business processes across both regulated and deregulated market environments.
• Experience working with core utility operational technologies and platforms, including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Outage Management Systems (OMS), Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions, and Control Center Operations.
• Experience delivering projects involving project management, business case development, strategic analysis, stakeholder reporting, and transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with the ability to independently manage and deliver projects from initiation through completion.
• Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic consulting environment, adapting to changing business priorities while working with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools is preferred, including Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel, to support business insights and decision-making.
• Strong business communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts, think creatively and proactively, and adapt communication approaches to different audiences and situations.
